Steelers Wallace top WR target for the Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins haven't hidden the fact they'll upgrade the receiver position through free agency, providing quarterback Ryan Tannehill the weapons he needs to jump start the passing game. "I think this is the year that you've got to do something," General Manager Jeff Ireland said. "We're...

Jets start cutting players-Making cap room

This should be one of the more interesting off-seasons out there this year.

Franchise tags: There may not be as many as you think.

You are right.. cap management is becoming a great artform. The old school thinking screw him, we will not even talk to the player this year and tag him isn't smart football anymore. You have to keep talking with everybody as the smart teams may redo 4-5 contracts to keep 2 key players.

Kaepernick already training for next season

I read this also. You have to be pleased with and admire this young man's development.

You bring up a good point here as more and more teams are working a lot harder than they used to to get in front of contracts and resign players with greater cap planning than before. If they have a couple of key players they may front load one guys contract and back load another guys in order...

You are right Mud there may not be all that much Tag action at all. Browns and Cowboys may not tag anybody at all. Denver on the other side of the coin is sure to tag OT Ryan Clady

Bengals Lineman Andre Smith is an interesting candidate.... do you let him go via Free Agency and face an immediate void in the O line to fill or tag him for a year just to have an extra year to dig up a replacement?

Take Arizona for instance. With Larry Fitzgerald and Calais Campbell sewed up there may not be anybody else who is talented enough to be worthy. The Pathers have a guy in Munnerlyn who is talented enough for tag money but they are in cap hell so probably not. Ravens might tag Flacco and make...

    Jennings going Fishing?

Nice fit, Miami needs him. He would be an unquestioned leader there. Nice climate, nice young QB. Fins need him badly and have money... what a cowinkedence.

    Jennings going Fishing?

This is an interesting free agent move. So far, all I had heard is that the Fins might let Hartline go.

    Vick restructures contract with Eagles

QB Michael Vick Signs new deal with the Eagles. This contract replaces the six-year, $100 million contract Vick signed in 2011 and he now is scheduled to be a free agent after next season. Don't know all the particulars right now but sounds like the deal is cap friendly, some bonus money up...

Giants RB Ahmad Bradshaw hits the off-seaon Market along with two others.

The New York Giants continued to slice payroll by parting ways with two more veterans in running back Ahmad Bradshaw and defensive tackle Chris Canty on Wednesday. The Giants were estimated to be 4.7 million over the cap. After releasing linebacker Michael Boley the day before, the Giants...

    Has Flacco earned it yet?

Tough call, in the playoffs he has literally as good as anybody as Phi points out. Drew Brees money? The highest paid QB hasnot always translated to the Best QB. I dunno, better than the Franchise Tag money, long term / 5-6 years? I should think a nice chunk of up front money.
