Just got an email blurb from Philly Eagles site. With this you can count on Vick being in the competition for Qb in Philly. By all accounts they are also interested in Dixon, and maybe drafting one as well.

so the FA Qb batch just got tighter.

ESPN's Adam Schefter also reports the Eagles have worked out a restructured contract with Michael Vick, and will keep him for 2013.

I think he starts out as the starter and Kelly will have back-ups that can step in and run his type of system when Vick gets broken running the read option. Dixon would be a great fit.

rotoworld:
Vick has been re-signed to a "three-year deal" that will void next March 15, ostensibly making it a one-year pact. Per Schefter, Vick could make "up to" $10 million in 2013. He had been set to make $15.5 million in the third season of a six-year, $100 million contract. The news makes Vick the obvious favorite to pilot Chip Kelly's offense, but both FOX's Jay Glazer and the Philadelphia Inquirer believe he may have competition. However, it's doubtful Vick would have foregone a chance at the open market if he wasn't offered assurances he'd likely be under center come Week 1. Vick's playmaking skills have been in steady decline, but he'll still be a highly intriguing fantasy prospect in Kelly's breakneck offense.

QB Michael Vick Signs new deal with the Eagles.

This contract replaces the six-year, $100 million contract Vick signed in 2011 and he now is scheduled to be a free agent after next season.

Don't know all the particulars right now but sounds like the deal is cap friendly, some bonus money up front. Also having a lot fo incentive money for performance on the field. Hearing 3.5 bonus up to $ 10 for good performance.Gives the new coach a catch to run his O with Vick for one year and see how it works.
