Los Angeles is gearing up for the NFL

Even with UT, Austin is mighty tempting. As far as I know, it is still growing while much of the rest of the country stagnates. I could see two strategies for NFL in San Antonio: - Get the city to chip in on a Final 4 / Super Bowl dome downtown. - build a private open air stadium NE of...

Los Angeles is gearing up for the NFL

Some potential candidates would be: San Antonio - was a possible relocation site for the Saints. Nearby Austin is another large, unsaturated pro-sports market. Portland - A group led by auto giant Scott Thomasen has quietly coveted the NFL for awhile. Portland is another un-saturated...

Los Angeles is gearing up for the NFL

OKC? No way. How about some real cities that are twice as big like Portland, San Antonio, or Salt Lake City before that thieving little crap hole. There has been a quiet effort to bring the NFL to Portland. The biggest stumbling block is lack of stadium, however the Oregon legislature has...

Los Angeles is gearing up for the NFL

That just happened to Seattle with our NBA team. Where was the national outcry? There was none. ESPN, other fans, etc. are not looking out for the fans in these situations. ESPN, Fox Sports, TSN, etc. should have made a big deal about the Sonics being stolen away by a bunch of thieving liars...

Los Angeles is gearing up for the NFL

Los Angeles was a great NFL city. They had the second most season tickets/attendance of any NFL city. The issue in LA is having to privately fund your own stadium. The Raiders and Rams left because of sweetheart stadium deals, not lack of fan support.

Palmer selling his house, ready to retire if not traded

Not Seattle. Seattle needs to find the QB of the future, not another QB of the present.

Where will the major uncommitted studs end up signing?

Sankey is committed to WSU, but is visiting UW this weekend. I bet he sticks with WSU. It depends on how much UW wants him, and I am not certain about that. He would have a better shot at early playing time at WSU. Washington is loaded at RB, and 2 of them can't go pro for another 2 years.

Good news: Big 12 the 2nd and PAc-12 will settle it on the field from now on. Too bad the Shrinking 10 couldn't ice off the Big East.

That's silly. The two never played each other because of a broken system. They won a National Title and National Titles are what is the goal in this sport. You can't discount a Natl. Championship. Quit playing stupid! Come on man, this is silly! I made my point clear before and will again...

Texas and ESPN to launch channel this Sept.

There is no way they can fill the channel with just Longhorns sports. They need more. Here are some suggestions: Life of Bevo, a reality show that focuses on the life and drama of a major college mascot. The Biggest Loser with David McWilliams Super Nanny Mack Brown. Watch Coach...

Sure it is. Why screw one of the national champions because of a silly, broken system? Why screw the teams because of a broken, unfair system? Instead of doing that, how about I penalize Ohio State by making Big Ten titles worth less since there are more of them? That makes more sense than...

Again, I award the points to the team that wins the conference tie breaker. You can call it the BCS tie breaker all you want, but these rules existed prior to the BCS as these are the continually revised Big Ten Rose bowl tie breaker rules. Come on man, this shouldn't be difficult to figure...

Seattle QB News: Carroll and Hasselbeck want one more year together?

Again, CONFERENCE TIEBREAKER: Rose Bowl. Unless ranked No. 1 or No. 2 in the final BCS poll, the conference champion shall participate in the Rose Bowl. The championship shall be determined on the percentage basis of conference games (tie games counts ½ win and ½ loss). If there is a tie for...

The Big Ten was the only BCS conference without a round robin or a playoff, hence the term dodgeball schedule, where the possibility exists of two teams going undefeated in the conference.

Again, I use the CONFERENCE tie breaker. You know, the conference rules the sets up who plays in the Rose Bowl if there is a tie. I award points to the #1 conference champion. It would be b.s. to do anything different, other than perhaps discount Big Ten championship values when the SEC for...
