Well said WesDawg. Are you back in the Rock now?
Size only matters, if you know how to use it. Matthews doesn't. MJD does. Peterson does.HUH ???
Mathews 6'0" 218lbs
Forte 6'2" 218 lbs
Pederson 6'1" 217 lbs
MJD 5'7" 208 lbs
You should fire your research assistant
I looked into this, as this caught me by surprise. You were somewhat correct. What I found also though, is Matthews really sucked big time in some major games.1/2 of the guys you just stated as being "capable" of handling the large workload missed at least as many games as Matthews did last year.....
There simply is no "sure" thing when drafting RB's anymore. With defenses getting bigger and faster every year the injuries are going to happen, especially if there might be even the slightest hint of a concussion. Opportunity is the only truth that will color my judgement in terms of RB drafting, and in Matthews case he has a huge one.

Was it his fault, or the offense...I am not sure. But if LT2 could make it in this offense, and Matthews is all you are saying..why can't he?
Cause he can't. He sucks, and is injury prone. Again, they will regret letting Tolbert go...just like they regret letting Sproles go.
Once again, Phicinfan is wise, Phicinfan is all knowing. Be AFRAID those of you who question my knowledge.No.....Friggen.....Way.
you heard hit here first, NO FRIGGEN WAY will he be the #1 Rb in this league. He is not that good, nor is he that durable. SD is about to learn that letting Tolbert go was a huge mistake. You heard it here first folks.
Goes to show how much rotoworld.com knows....a writer is in the "expert" draft and picked Matthews at #2 over Rice and McCoy...
SD - RB Ryan Mathews may not play until Week 4
Source: North County Times - Scott Bair
If San Diego Chargers RB Ryan Mathews (shoulder) needs six weeks to recover from a broken clavicle, he probably won't return to the lineup until Week 4 against the Kansas City Chiefs. The injury problem hasn't changed head coach Norv Turner's opinion about Mathews for this year. 'I still expect him to have a great year,' Turner noted.

Bad news for the Chargers here. We expect Mathews ADP to take a tumble after fantasy owners respond to the injury news. If healthy he should get a sizable workload and could still be a star for your fantasy team in the all important fantasy playoffs. He's a nice value, but obviously comes with a risk
I think he'll be back weeks 4/6
from an FBG email
Okay, how many of you have ever broken your collar bone??? I have, he won't be anywhere useful when he gets back. 6 weeks is a pipe dream folks.
But by all means, draft him high in round 1, and let me in those leagues....PLEASE
