(FFChamps) According to NFL.com, Dr. Neil Ghodadra said Chargers running back Ryan Mathews is likely out until October with a broken clavicle. Analysis: Mathews said he'll be ready for Week 1 after breaking his collarbone on his first carry of the preseason, but Ghodadra, who is a former team doctor for the Chicago White Sox and Bulls, said the bone takes six weeks to heal and that studies have shown it takes eight weeks for NFL players to return from clavicle fractures.
