Kevin "Corn on the" Kolb Trade rumors..

Cards have a bunch o RBs too.

Here's an ante upper.

Dave Mahler of 950 KJR Seattle has "heard from a source" that the Seahawks "have offered" the Eagles both a first and third round pick for Kevin Kolb. Mahler is a well-known Seattle radio personality, but isn't usually in the habit of breaking big news like this. His wording of "have offered" would imply the deal was discussed either before the transactions freeze or when the lockout was briefly lifted on April 28. Recent rumors have had the Eagles seeking players instead of draft picks in return for Kolb, but it's hard to believe they would be able to turn down both a first and third rounder.

Wells makes sense for the Cards to try to deal, but not sure how he fits into the Eagles offense.....

Head about the Seahawks offer as well, and I agree with Norm, how do you turn that deal down?

If that sort of offer was really made I do not see how it was not accepted a second later.

The player I have also heard of is the cards 1st round draft pick CB Patrick Peterson. Why they would move him before he played a play is baffling, unless it was preplanned between the two teams predraft! The strong Kolb to Arizona pre draft speculation does bring this into play.

I've heard rumors that Beanie Wells is the mystery player being discussed.

I have heard that also. The Eagles don't have much depth after McCoy and Reid says he will give McCoy a boatload of carries this year. Hightower is an excellent pass blocking back that can catch and run with a nose for the endzone. If he is pass blocking for Vick maybe TE Celek can be freed up to be a weapon again. Howling isn't that great a runner but is a great Kick Returner which could add another dimension to the special teams squad.

There is no way in heavan or earth that they want Wells. He doesn't fit the system. Don't buy it.

If a player is involved with Arizona, it is either at DB with Peterson or Cromartie or perhaps at LB where they have some need as well.

But Rb..for kolb, makes no sense, unless its for picks too.

Remember,
Per multiple sources the Eagles feel they are there now, and want a player to contribute alot, or picks. I don't see Wells as a player to contribute alot.

As for Seattle, I agree, had they really, really offered a first and third for Kolb, I think they would have taken it..unless that is an old offer from when they were still expecting Kolb to start before Vick. Remember, they wanted Kolb back then too.

(Rotoworld) Appearing on NFL Live Friday, ESPN's Adam Schefter sounded convinced that a trade that will send Kevin Kolb to the Cardinals is already a done deal. Analysis: "100 percent he's traded and Arizona is the first, second, and third most likely landing spot," Schefter said. Arizona may be tempted to lower its offer if there is truly no other competition for Kolb's services. The Eagles will try hard to create the impression that Kolb remains in demand around the league.
