Well, after a very wintry trip to the Appleton, WI area. I have had time to finally get on line and get caught up.

per that here is what I think happens.

first, Both Gabbert and Newton will be gone by pick #5. Combo will be either Carolina and Buffalo, or Buffalo and Arizona.

That is the perfect storm for Philly. That will make Redskins, Minny, San Fran and Tennesee on the hunt for Qb urgently. So it will be is the value for Kolb worth the pick...or...do we take a shot at a Qb in the 2nd round and hope he develops.

Cincy in my opinion has no plan to go Qb early. Even if Gabbert or Newton are there. They very well may go Ponder or Mallet in the 2nd though. But, they won't play for Kolb.

Seattle? I think Seattle would love to get Kolb. But I don't see Philly taking the 25th pick...if they can make a deal to move up to the top 15 or so instead. Still, could happen. No, I think Seattle may parlay thier pick to one of the above to help them make sure they get the guy they want if they feel he will be nabbed before them in the 2nd.

So, my gut says, yes Kolb will get dealt. If CBA is in place, it will be in first round.

However, if no CBA, then picks will be in 2012. Which I think helps Tennessee...as they will get a high pick next year.

Okay this all being said, evidently there was a quote from Lewis that QB is the most dire spot. So i guess you add Cincy to a possible first round choice. I still think they go Mallet in 2nd, but that is just me.

Either way, I think Kolb definately will be dealt once new CBA is in place.

Could be, but I don't see them doing worse than Tenn. or Washington this year. dunno:
Can't see them trading with Was again. How many of the potential teams won't draft a QB because they want Kolb after the draft. Not many. I could see Sea passing with Has and Whitehurst

According to SI.com's Peter King, the Seahawks are not the team that has already offered a first round pick in exchange for Kevin Kolb. Analysis: King's original report led to a Philly beat writer speculating that Seattle was the team. Since then, another report has surfaced suggesting that Arizona has been the most aggressive suitor for Kolb. The Cardinals may have offered their 2012 first-rounder.

Arizona is desperate for a qb it seems and they are the only team doing anything to strengthen that position at this time. Both in Kolb and Bulger. Wish Jax was this aggressive in bettering themselves.

Honestly, As a Kolb owner in a dynasty league, and a huge Kolb fan, I would love to see him end up in either Arizona or San Fran. Minny might not be bad..but without Rice and Percy with Migranes...not a good situation. Seattle maybe....but nah.

with that thinking he would have the chance to throw to crabtree or fitzgerald. not a bad way to show case your talents. either team could be a win win situation pretty quickly.

The Pioneer Press reports Eagles QB Kevin Kolb might be headed to the Vikings after the NFL lockout ends. The Eagles will likely end up with Minnesota’s first-round draft pick (No. 12 overall) in exchange for the 26-year-old quarterback. The penny-pinching Vikings are said to love the fact that Kolb’s salary is just $1.4 million this year.

Uh, they know no trades for players without CBA right? And as no one expects the lockout to be lifted before the draft.....

Tom Pelissero of ESPN 1500 Twin Cities reports the agents for Kevin Kolb have made it known that they will be seeking a lucrative multi-year deal from any team that trades for their client this offseason.
It sounds like Kolb may be overshooting Matt Schaub's six-year, $48M deal, and instead targeting the Matt Cassel/Tony Romo/Aaron Rodgers range of $65-70 million. The asking price is high enough that one NFL decision-maker labeled it "significant enough to make me nervous" with a player of little track record. "There's no way I pay him like a proven guy," said an AFC exec. Kolb's pool of suitors has reportedly been "drastically reduced" by the combination of draft picks and monetary commitment required to pull the trigger.

Kevin Kolb Seeking “Lucrative” Multi-Year Deal From Trade Partner
By David Sabia»Football News Now Staff Writer» April 15, 2011 - 7:46 am

The agent for Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Kevin Kolb said that the 26-year-old is seeking a a substantial multi-year deal from any team that acquires him via trade this offseason.

According to Tom Pelissero of ESPN 1500 Twin Cities, it sounds like Kolb may be passing over Matt Schaub’s six-year, $48M deal, and instead targeting the Tony Romo and Aaron Rodgers’ arena of $65-70 million.

Match the hefty contract demand with the mid-to-late first-round pick necessary to acquire Kolb in the first place and it’s not hard to see why the current cost of the Kolb package has drastically reduced the pool of potential buyers.

“There’s no way I pay him like a proven guy,” said an executive in personnel for an AFC team, who added that the deal “significant enough to make me nervous”.”If you give up a one, that’s your guy. You’re going to ride with him, so you’re going to pay him. But you’ve still got to make sure that the finances are such that it’s based on what he’s proven.”

Many teams would be happy to surrender the pick and pay Kolb the $1.392 million he is due in 2011. If he’s brought in as a starter, however, the added responsibility also comes with a pay bump.

“You can’t trade for the guy without working out a contract extension,” said an NFL source who has explored Kolb’s situation. “He’s not going to play for what he’s making right now in the last year of his contract.”

Kolb has has completed 60.8% of his 319 passes with 11 touchdowns and 14 interceptions since being drafted No. 36 overall out of the University of Houston in 2007. While serviceable, the numbers hardly justify his high asking price.

Scouts are also concerned that Kolb is a “system quarterback” who struggles to stretch the field and battles accuracy issues when put under pressure.

“The game is swirling around so fast, you have a tendency to tunnel vision on your primary guys,” the AFC executive said. “Some of it with him is just being consistent with touch and hitting his long balls. Beyond that, I think he’s got some upside. You really like his athleticism. He’s got size. He can throw the football. But for me, it’s just seeing the game, slowing the game down, being able to go through his progressions, make the right decisions.”

Kolb’s five main suitors are the Seattle Seahawks, Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, Minnesota Vikings, and Miami Dolphins.

Add the fact that the Dolphins run an offense that probably isn’t ideal for Kolb’s skill set to the financial aspect of the trade and you might be ready to count Miami out. Vikings coach Leslie Frazier has also expressed a desire to draft and develop a quarterback with the team’s 12th overall pick in the NFL Draft later this month.

“Would you rather go with a guy this year and then just wait for him to develop and let a team kind of develop with him?” an NFC executive said. “Leslie Frazier’s just starting his program, right? That’s part of it, too. Minnesota has to decide where they are. ‘All right, we’ve got to go out and get a guy that’s an established quarterback, pay a lot of money, or are we going to go with a young guy and grow with him?’”

That leaves Arizona, San Francisco, and Seattle as the most probable landing spots, but in this saga of twist-and-turns, it’s not out of the question that Kolb is still in an Eagles uniform for 2011.

Seattle has Hass, whos much more proven, SF just extended Smiths contract for a year. So that leaves Arizona. But the article has it right, thats alot of money he's asking for on top of a 1st round pick on an unproven guy. I do like his chances of being a good QB, but needs to prove himself first before asking for the insane amount of money.

Kinda shows how weak the draft this year is on QBs when an unproven QB can ask for all that and will probably get it. SHows not alot of confidence in the draft.

Seattle doesn't have Hass. He is an FA and they could not get a deal done. Hass wants too much money.
