ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that "at least" three NFL teams are considering a trade for Kevin Kolb.
The 49ers, Cardinals, Titans, and Redskins are among the most likely suitors for Kolb, and Schefter confirms that "every NFC West team except St. Louis" should be in the mix. If a CBA is struck before the draft, it sounds like the Eagles are going to have more than enough suitors to drive up Kolb's price tag. It's very conceivable that they could end up with a top-ten pick.

I think he is just the kind of QB San Fransisco needs to get that push over the edge to be a actual contender

This is starting to sound like a "Matt Cassel" disaster in the making.

Back up Qb....Lots of Hype... Then, 2 years before he settles in and becomes average.

Nice if you can get him cheap in a dynasty but I'll be looking to sell him high in my keeper.

6 minutes ago - Matt Williamson of Scouts Inc. believes that the Seahawks would be the best fit for Eagles QB Kevin Kolb inside the NFC West because they’ll be running the truest version of the west coast offense, with the short, horizontal passing game that suit’s Kolb’s strengths.
I'd love this. Mat stay as backup for at least 1 year

According to ESPN.com Philly has already recieved an offer of a 1st round pick for Kolb. Reid is supposedly looking at a higher first rounder for Kolb. Which makes ESPN think it was Seattle that made the offer. Evidently last year they offered a 1 and more to try and get Kolb last year.

this would be a great fit for Kolb, but I bet one of the other teams that needs a Qb steps up as well.

Here's some more Kolb rumorage: Fox Sports' Adam Caplan estimates 10-to-12 teams would likely be interested in Kevin Kolb if trades are allowed before or during next month's draft. Analysis: Unsurprisingly, he lists Seattle, Arizona and Tennessee as Kolb's three most probable destinations. With the Cardinals and Titans both having top-10 picks, the Seahawks might be the most likely of the three to offer Philadelphia a first-round pick. It also wouldn't be surprising if a club like San Francisco or Minnesota got into the fray if they decided their QB is not in the draft.

If the 10-12 teams guess is true then there should be plenty of also ran interest in Packer backup QB Matt Flynn if Kolb is dealt to another team.

Minny isn't involved, at all??

I would probably say that Minny would be involved too. Right now most of the speculation revolves around teams that are most likely to toss a first rounder into the ring. A lot of teams will probably make a play using a second rounder and take my almost good enough QB as a backup for Philly.

 yep, if deals can be struck, I see Kolb going. And all of it will be solely on how soon someone pulls a trigger on one or two of the top Qbs. If Buffalo or Cincy or Arizona takes a Qb...I think you see a team deal their first rounder to Philly to get Kolb.

Greenbay has no want, will or effort to deal Flynn. Kolb is being dealt because he is a UFA next year, and was a team player while losing his starting job. GB won't give up their safety net, and has already stated as much.

I agree that Green Bay won't be interested in doing it. But there will be a lot of interest in Flynn by other teams.

Hassleback has said that he wasn't close to having a deal with the Seahawks so Kolb could be very much in play there.

Quite honestly, I see 4 teams that will be in play:
1) Seattle, late first round pick means lower value, but may have to add to make the deal work for Philly. Plus they have need, and run a similar offense.
2) Minnesota: Pick #12 is pricey, but they are dire at Qb(by all reports they don't fee Webb is ready), and by their pick its take a real risk with Locker or Mallet, or hope you can catch one in round 2.
3) Tennessee: Collins may retire, but is an FA, Young is reported to be shipped out. That leaves Smith. Both Qbs will be gone and I have not heard of them looking at any other Qbs. Pick #8 may be a high price though.
4) San Francisco: Again, cost will be huge. But they need a Qb, as A.Smith isn't the answer. Both top Qbs look to be gone, so I don't see them taking Locker or Mallet. However, there is a chance one of them, or Pounder slips to them in round 2.

I think Arizona, and Buffalo go draft Qbs. Either in round 1 or two.

SF won't give the 7 straight up for Kolb, but if Peterson and Miller are off the board as expected, I could see a move where they give #7 and maybe their 2nd for Kolb and Phillys 1st.

Philly gets an impact player plus a mid 2nd rounder for a back-up QB. To me, that would be a better deal for Philly than getting the #25 pick.

My concern from the 49er side of the fence is "how good is Kolb"? Seems like a good fit for the WCO that Harbaugh wants to run. Would like to have seen a little more of him in action before giving up the #7 pick, but Newton and Gabbart are gambles too, and frankly, I am not even close to being on board with Newton, so I hope he goes early so SF isn't even tempted.............

It's a fair question when you consider how good Reid made Feeley and Garcia look.

i could see this scenario played out with any of the teams referenced . . . makes sense.

rotoworld,

The Eagles are now seeking "at least a first-round pick and a second pick somewhere in the first three or four rounds" for Kevin Kolb, according to CSN Philly.
"Andy [Reid] spent all those years in Green Bay with Holmgren," said CSN's source. "And they groomed all those young quarterbacks (Aaron Brooks, Mark Brunell, Ty Detmer, Matt Hasselbeck) and traded them for picks that helped really build that franchise, so he knows the value of making this kind of deal." The most likely scenario is that trades won't be allowed before this year's draft, so the Eagles can take advantage of any team that loses out on a prime prospect.

A league source tells CSN Philly that the Cardinals have expressed the most interest thus far in a Kevin Kolb trade. Seattle coach Pete Carroll isn't even bothering to deny his interest in Kolb, so the Cardinals will have stiff competition. It's hard to imagine Arizona parting with the No. 5 overall pick, but they could be dangling their 2012 first-rounder plus another pick. Larry Fitzgerald has to be hoping the GM Rod Graves outbids the Seahawks and perhaps the 49ers in the NFC West. Per NFL Network's Jason LaCanfora, the Vikings are "likely to end up on the periphery of the Kolb hunt."

Kolb is fixing to get paid. Really kind of suprises me more teams arent interested in him. So many teams need an exp QB right now and the draft is a little weak in QBs. 2 maybe 3 legite ones with the others being big question marks. Wish Jax would get their thumbs out of their ass and at least show some interest in getting a quality QB.
