Favre Drama Begins

One big motivator for Brett to get in a little earlier is the first game of the season. I would hope he might double his preseason work just to get ready for that Thursday night game with The Saints. Remember that doubling his preseason work amounts to playing some in two preseason games.

I am lucky that I have always been a Norse Division Fan as well as a Packer Fan. I can and always have liked the Vikes over every team they play outside of the Packers, and last year I was on strike form the Packers for both of those games.

The biggest reason that I'd like Farve to stay home is that Thursday game that you posted about. That and a possible post season match-up between the Saints and Vikes. Until last year the Vikes had our number when the post seaon came around.

He is half way thru his contract with the Vikes so he should play and hold up his end of the deal. And yes i know it was only a 2 year agreement. lol

(nfl.com)The St. Paul Pioneer-Press reports QB Brett Favre made an appearance in Minnesota on Wednesday night -- via satellite. Favre spoke during a business pep-talk event on a TV screen at the Target Center in Minneapolis. He said 2009 with the Vikings was "the best season I've ever had." Favre was asked about a possible return next season. "Physically, I don't feel great," said Favre, 40, who had ankle surgery recently. "I'm not getting any younger." A few people in the crowd then chanted, "One more year."

mudloggerone;374071 Favre was asked about a possible return next season. "Physically said:
At 49, if I fall hard in the backyard I'm hurting. If I run and fall it's worse. I can't imagine running, falling while being driven into the ground, then having a 300 lbs DL, DE, or 250 lbs LB land on me and try to twist my legs off.

The fact that he has never missed a game is only matched once in the history of organized sports. The fact that he achieved what he did last year is the only thing that matches it.

Sounds like he is even losing the desire to play or maybe its like every year and just doesn't like to practice. Say Favre doesn't play this year, Do the Vikings have a decent backup QB ? Not sure but isn't T. Jackson gone now? Hey wait J Russell is looking for a new gig. Sign him and the Favre problem is solved.

I dont believe anything Favre has to say not that he is a liar he just makes statements to keep the media active and the drama alive.

When training camp winds down and the pre-season is coming to a close and Favre is not in Minnesota then i will be convinced he is retiring

Jackson is still there and so is Sage. Childress has a hard on for Jackson so I believe Jackson would be the starter unless he was injured.

Oh ok. Last thing i heard he was complaining and wanted a trade but that was awile back and he's been quiet ever since. He should become the starter, IMO, and Favre should have to give this years salary back since most likely he, oh never mind, there is no clue what he is doing. Jackson really got screwed with the Favre signing i think.

rotoworld,
The Southern Miss Golden Eagles were eliminated from the college baseball NCAA tournament Sunday with a loss to Jacksonville State.

The Golden Eagles were routed 19-6, and have been eliminated from contention for the College World Series. Brett Favre vowed to return if his alma mater advanced, but that won't be the case. It's worth noting that he did not say he would not return if the Eagles failed to meet his expectations

Lets wait and see if he is a man of his word, i expect an interview with Favre soon as the word gets out that Southern Miss is out of contention, the media wont let this die.

I'm betting he plays this year. Its his last realistic shot at a championship and he knows it. And besides he did sign a 2yr contract and should fufill his obligations .
