AP charged with negligent injury to a child

I think Minn is literally trying to screw with fantasy owners. It's literally 2 AM and this announcement is coming out. Waivers are processing in a matter of a few hours, and the fools who actually sleep at night will be probably be dropping Matt Asiata for whoever the flavor of the week is this week.

I'll be sitting here...canceling all my current waiver claims so I can sneak up the waiver order and snatch Asiata!!

Define due process, photos are out, and he admitted he did it. What more do you want?

its the same as Rice. Once visual evidence and admission is there, what more due process is due?
I know corporal punishment is legal in all 50, not sure if what AP did is illegal or not... Really not up to me to decide. What ray rice did was flat out illegal and malicious. AP deserves the due process.

he is getting due process. He has not been cut, he is still being paid, and he has legal issues to address, so team gave him way to get paid, and take time needed to follow up on legal process. This is no different than alot of companies.

Again, define due process.

He's guilty as sin in the medias portrayal. I expect he'll plead guilty, draw his suspended sentence and probation and be playing ball again before the season is over. I do not think it'll be for the Vikings however.

Don't start shooting spitballs here at me for this question but does anyone out there besides me wonder if the kid has been pushing his sister down anymore since his whipping? I'd venture to guess that he has not. If you have a kid that has to be told over and over the same darn thing then you suck as a parent. Stop being their friend. That's not your job. Whoop fire out of 'em and they learn. Give that nice little speech to them for their wrong doing and you'll be doing it again and again and again. Your job parents is to teach them right from wrong. There's little doubt that it "appears" that AP was excessive in his punishment of the youngster but you'll never convince me that he did it on purpose. I've had those same stripes on me before and folks it didn't take twice for the same offense to learn my lesson. Being a parent is hard. If it wasn't we wouldn't have a country going to hell in a hand basket right now.

Maybe. Maybe not. Do you tell an "innocent" employee that they're no longer welcome to come to work?
What makes him innocent? He's admitted to putting leaves in his child's mouth, making the child pull down his pants and beating him with a switch. The lacerations over the kids whole body is much more than a spanking. That is child abuse. It is above and beyond what any reasonable parent would do to their child.

If this were not a high profile football player involved would you be screaming for due process? I'm going to go with no...

What makes him innocent is that he has yet to be proven guilty of a crime. Did he go overboard? Probably. Is it a crime? Let the judge decide.

And he is receiving the ability to have that judgement. Playing in an NFL game is NOT his right, its a privilege. The team is supporting him with pay, and benefits and time to address the legal matters. No one in The Vikings have claimed he is guilty......oh except himself.

He has said that he spanked the child he has not said that he was guilty of child endangerment or abuse. People seeing the pictures are rushing to their own judgment.
