After a lot of rejection and speculaion T.O. is close to signing.

Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler said during a radio interview that he does not believe the team is interested in unrestricted free-agent WR Terrell Owens (Bills) because the team is comfortable with the receivers currently on the roster, reports ESPNChicago.com. 'I don't see us going and getting T.O., especially at this time of having to learn the offense and trying to fit in. I'm comfortable, and I think management is comfortable with the receivers we have. But ultimately, that's not my decision,' Cutler said.

Terrell Owens doesn't fit the Mike Martz system, and the Bears will move forward with Devin Hester and Johnny Knox as their featured receivers.

KC - Chiefs not an option for WR Terrell Owens

Unrestricted free-agent WR Terrell Owens (Bills) said during a radio interview that the Kansas City Chiefs is not an option for him because he and head coach Todd Haley do not get along, according to NFL.com's Marc Sessler.

Haley and Owens still have bad blood from a shouting incident when both were with the Dallas Cowboys. The Chiefs really don't have any room for a guy like Owens, unless injuries strike Dwayne Bowe, Chris Chambers, or Dexter McCluster.

He saunters into a Lakers game — another sun-glassed, demi-celeb — just late enough to be seen. Then, only days after claiming to be the victim of an ESPN conspiracy, he shows up at — where else? — the ESPYS.

Out here in Los Angeles, you can’t help but notice him. I mean, that’s the point, isn’t it?

He’s Terrell Owens. He hasn’t changed. But the world around him has. Problem is, the years have rendered him oblivious to his own obsolescence. This isn’t merely another guy who doesn’t get it. This is a reality star (albeit a second tier one) who doesn’t live in reality.

Owens once had the physical gifts to compete with the man he replaced, arguably the greatest player ever, Jerry Rice. He was fast and strong and possessed of the crazy courage required to do great things at the receiver position. With a ball in the air, Owens focused only on his own glory, not the impending hit. Even at 36, he’s still built like a civic monument.

But to what? If he’d been a better guy, his current status — unemployed with no prospects — would qualify as a great shame. At this point in his career, Terrell Owens should have a collection of rings and records. Instead — and here’s the reality — he’s well on the road to being Flavor Flav.

Just read that Terrell Suggs would like T.O to become a Raven, not that his opinion matters much

Agent Drew Rosenhaus says he has five teams showing interest in client Terrell Owens, but acknowledged the Ravens aren't among them.

Rosenhaus claims one new team has "aggressively entered the picture" for T.O. "It's really picking up," Rosenhaus added, "and this isn't just agent rhetoric. I'm very encouraged as of late. I'm very optimistic that Terrell will have multiple options to choose from between now and the start of most training camps." The Seahawks and Redskins should be in the hunt.

Suggs wants him with the Ravens but has no say so.

If there are 5 teams interested who do you think they are???

.

Terrell who? Of course Rosenhaus is saying all this stuff about all the alledged interest in TO. If TO doesn't sign with a team, Rosenhaus misses out on money and if TO should happen to sign with someone, he will screw that one up too. TO has too much baggage and hard feelings around the league. I suppose, as a last resort, he could fill the void created when Teke Barber got fired.

rotoworld,
Coach Pete Carroll told 710ESPN Seattle on Monday that the Seahawks will not be signing free agent Terrell Owens.

"We won't be able to do that this time around," said Carroll, who was on the 49ers' staff when San Francisco drafted Owens in 1996. "We're going to continue to work with the guys we've got. ... I think our situation is OK with where we are." The Seahawks' top two receivers -- T.J. Houshmandzadeh and Deion Branch -- are 31 or older and returning from offseason surgeries. There probably isn't a better fit for T.O. in the league, but Seattle's lack of interest at least bodes well for rookie Golden Tate's outlook.

Is he related to Tiki?? ;)

lol! One in the same!
Sorry, would you give a "newbie" a pass on this one? I am trying to broaden my horizons into the world of sports threads, and just don't have all the name spellings down pat, yet? LOL The guy that Mud mentioned, T.J. Houshmandzadeh, well, I could have a field day with that spelling. Do they have to abbreviate his last name, on the back of his jersey?

His full name is on his jersey.

Call him T.J. Housh we will know who you mean

Suggs needs to STFU....:order:

Owens needs to be kept far away from the Raven's, they have put together a pretty decent team, which has the potential to maybe even get to the SB, we do NOT need a cancer like Owens ruining the chemistry...

Cincinnati Bengals QB Carson Palmer has been working out regularly with free-agent WR Terrell Owens (Bills) in California and has been highly impressed, reports ESPN's Adam Schefter, according to a team source. Palmer has gone so far as to tell Bengals officials what an asset Owens could be and how much talent he still has.

Consider this more smoke that could lean to the fire of Owens signing with the Bengals.

The Cincinnati Bengals are not close to signing free-agent WR Terrell Owens (Bills), reports Joe Reedy, of The Cincinnati Enquirer, according to two sources on both sides. According to an earlier report, Owens was very close to signing with the Bengals.

While this dispels the idea of an imminent signing, it doesn't foreclose the possibility of Owens being a Bengals this year. The organization has shown again and again that they will give "problem children" a chance when other teams won't, so we wouldn't rule the Bengals out until Owens signs elsewhere.

last i heard it was between the Begals and Rams on who has the most interest in him. The Rams i understand, bring him in and maybe he'll help Bradford develop quicker. CinCinnati, doesn't make sense. What they don't have enough issues with Ocho so bring in more problems. TO and Ocho could never last on the same team, same field, same time thru the season. They both already cry about not getting the ball. Imagine how much money Cin. would spend next year keeping these 2 in clean diapers and fresh binkees if they made a deal.

rotoworld,
A high-ranking Rams official tells ESPN.com that a formal offer for free agent Terrell Owens could come on Monday.

The Rams asked agent Drew Rosenhaus if Owens would consider playing for a non-contender, and Rosenhaus of course said his client would consider it. Getting a formal offer from the Rams is a sure way to find out if the Bengals are serious about bringing in Owens. T.O. would severely damage the fantasy prospects of Donnie Avery and Laurent Robinson.
