After a lot of rejection and speculaion T.O. is close to signing.

Because any news about TO must be shared there's this little bit.

KFFL,
An Alabama business has filed a lawsuit against free-agent WR Terrell Owens (Bills) and his cousin, claiming the two didn't pay expenses from a lease termination agreement for their martini bar, according to The Associated Press. The company claims it entered into a lease with Minnifield Owens Lounges in Birmingham in 2005 and said the sides agreed to terminate the lease and that M&O Lounges would pay past due rent, utility costs and other operating expenses. The lawsuit contends Owens and Antonio Minnifield failed to pay and seeks more than $12,000.

Pay the man you dead beats

(KFFL) Free-agent WR Terrell Owens (Bills) was defended by Baltimore Ravens WR Derrick Mason in The Sporting News, reports Jamison Hensley, of The Baltimore Sun. While Mason likely was not campaigning for Owens to join the Ravens, he stood up for the controversial receiver. "Looking at him, you can see he's in great shape, that he can still fare well and produce numbers. But now he's been treated like a scapegoat for what's happened in Buffalo; it's unfair ... He can be still an asset for some contending team," Mason said.

I feel that his time in Buffalo has very little to do with the lack of expressed interest in the big mouthed, formally talented WR.

He'll land a gig when a team suffers a season ending injury to their 2nd or 3rd WR and pay him league minimum, or at least try to. Other than that situation really don't see much of a chance of any team bringing him on. Seems all the teams are pretty happy with what they have at WR going into the season.

OF COURSE, OF COURSE TO. We know none of this is your fault.

NFL | Terrell Owens says media partially to play of unemployment Thu Jul 8, 02:23 PM
Unrestricted free-agent WR Terrell Owens (Bills) said during a radio interview said he believes the media is partially to blame for him on having a job because they continue to question his character, reports Sean Leahy, of USAToday.com.
Our view: Way to take responsibility for your situation T.O.! He's not the player he used to be and is looking to get paid like the T.O. of old. Owens is also known to lose focus during the course of a season, and would likely be a bigger distraction than most teams want. He'll have to wait until injuries hit in training camp before a team takes a serious interest in him.
---------------------------------------------------

Sadly, this great receiver who should be remembered for things like his catch from Steve Young to knock the Packers out of the playoffs, instead will be remembered for situps in his driveway and throwing every QB he's played with under the bus.

So true RC. I hate to say it but some team will sign him before the regular season and I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him put up some decent numbers. I have enjoyed watching him hanging out in the wind this off season though. Maybe he'll get an attitude adjustment from it.

I find it amusing, almost sadly so, that he still does not fully understand he is living within the character he built for himself.

He is still an immature, and insecure, little kid who prolly needs therapy every week to keep his mind in order.

Redskins | Terrell Owens would welcome opportunity to play for team Sat Jul 10, 11:06 AM
Free-agent WR Terrell Owens (Bills) said he remains open to the idea of playing for the Washington Redskins this upcoming season, reports Dan Steinberg, of The Washington Post. 'Well you know what? Definitely that's something that was on the radar,' Owens said this week, when asked if a reunion with QB Donovan McNabb was still a possibility. 'And if that's a possibility and they want to bring me in and make that happen, then I'm open arms to it.'
Our view: And we would be open to drafting him if he ends up there. Neither of Devin Thomas or Malcolm Kelly is proven and McNabb and TO's productive history with McNabb gives him a head start.
------------------------------------------------
TO doesn't deserve this consideration from McNabb, but I can understand why McNabb is open to this.

and once again Wash. would look competitive on paper but on the field be failures again. theirs an inter lying issue with Wash and until it gets fixed they will always be losers. When was the last time they had a good team on the field? back when Doug williams was QB. When Rypien was QB they were decent and competitive. It could be as high up as Dan Snider as being the problem, i dont know.

McNabb and T.O. dont have a good history and IMO wont be a good fit for the Redskins.

I really dont see T.O. a good fit on any NFL team, he wants to much money, has a huge ego he cant live up to any more, at his age being at least a step slower along with his disruptive behavior has burned every bridge he's crossed

AFL CFL UFL may want him

(KFFL) Free-agent WR Terrell Owens (Bills) is worried NFL teams are swayed by the perception he is a troublemaker - a perception he believes he disproved with his agreeable behavior while with the Buffalo Bills last season, according to Rachel Cohen, of The Associated Press. "There were a number of times where prior I probably would have reacted, said something I wasn't supposed to say," Owens said. "I really had some restraint, very patient."

rotoworld,
Redskins coach Mike Shanahan reiterated that his team is not interested in free agent Terrell Owens.

When Shanny last shot down T.O. rumors, he qualified his dismissal with the words "right now." He reaffirmed Thursday that he "made a commitment relative to T.O., that we were not gonna go in that direction." Shanny's stance is an important one for Santana Moss, who would have lost the No. 1 receiver role had the 'Skins reunited Owens and Donovan McNabb.
