I think the owners really underestimated the players and felt like they could make them concede on alot of things for fear of a season being lost. It's like they totally disregarded the fact that the players brought in a tough lawyer to lead their union. Did these guys really expect players...

I am about to the point where I would like to see the entire season lost, and let the NFL(players and owners) see that the fans can simply find other things to do with their life. This league has gotten too big for itself at this point and needs to be knocked back down to reality.

Was this Shurmer's fault though? It's very possible that going to a more conservative approach late in games could be the doings of the HC, not the OC. I would think the HC would be the one telling the OC whether to stay aggressive or go conservative.

agreed. Mike Brown wants to win, he even goes out and spends the money to some extent, but the money is spent in all the wrong places.

My vote was for Richardson, he simply couldn't care less about putting a winning team on the field.

Cool. I hadn't had the radio or TV on today, but I fully expected him to be fired. I just don't think this guy is solid head coaching material.

And if the media does this, fans nationwide will be bashing Brett Favre for it even though he can do nothing about it. I expect we will see media cameras all over a high school practice or two in Mississippi next season.

I think for him to take the talent on this roster, including the shuffling of quarterbacks, and still go 8-8 for the first time in several years is pretty good. Al Davis is an idiot.

I say no. Put him in the hall of "really good", not the hall of fame. We can't put everybody in, probably need to take several out.
