I dunno Sarge. Sounds very team friendly.

Per a league source, Jackson gets a $10 million signing bonus and a $750,000 base salary in 2012. He gets a $6.75 million base salary in 2013, and $4 million of that is fully guaranteed while the rest is guaranteed only against injury. Of his $10.25 million 2014 salary, only $250,000 is fully guaranteed and $250,000 is guaranteed against injury. He's eligible for a $250,000 workout bonus in each year of the deal, and his base salaries for the final two years are not guaranteed.

Kinda suprised he signed it after everything that has happened the last year

good deal for Philly, he is a dynamic playmaker, they don't grow on trees. Philly needed to get this done and get him focused again.

He is very easy to remove from the equation. He is also a moody diva Wr.. Not a very smart move in my opinion. A healthy maclin is a better wideout.

:woohoo1:

this is great on both sides. Desean is a huge playmaker and he will be back to form now that he got paid. the contract is totally reasonable. i am thrilled!!!!!!!!!

(oh, and the chicklet can keep his #10 jersey )

Philly just isn't the smartest of clubs IMO.
Why? All they do is win, and they make moves that makes sense. I am not a vick fan, but I see why they did it when you see the O-line they were stuck with. Jackson may now revert since the money is in his pocket. he may not, but the contract is friendly to drop him if needed later on. It also gives Maclin the protection he needs too.

My concern in Philly is lack of LB moves, and OL jettison. If they don't get some help on the O-line....this could be ugly again.

Okay they resigned Herremens. Traded away Winston, probably will lose Mathis. Jackson the old Center was released. I think I am missing one though.

They pretty much under achieved last season IMO or sucked compared to what was expected. They signed a classic under achiever long term in Jackson.

The way they did the contract though (thanks for the info AD) this is a win-win situation for both him and the Eagles. The Eagles are not "all in" with him and he has a chance to get his head straight, prove himself, and earn more money. He definitely is talented, just needs to grow up a bit
