Looks like pete was right and he hasn't lost any speed despite his size.....amazingYeah, in his freshmen year when he came in at about 210. Guys gain weight, guys lose speed.
Let Pete put his money where his mouth is and end the drama by taking him with their 2nd 1st rounder, then.
yep, still a GREAT time for him, but damn, how do you go from a 4.24 to a 4.43???4.43 official. Still the fastest out of the DBs
That is an awesome video! Looks like Mays ran the 2nd fastest time, right ahead of best. What is crazy is that Dickerson, the TE, was right there as well. I would have liked to see them put Spiller in that screen as well.To expand a bit on what DD wrote..
Did the NFL Screw Up Taylor Mays' Time? -- NFL FanHouse
I don't know all the ins and outs of the method they actually use at the Combine for "precision" measurement, but maybe they should look into contracting out some IOC-trained folks to come in and handle at least the 40 times since they are obviously the category that everyone seems to care about the most.
Haden looked slow to me when he ran.....didn't expect that either. He is still a first rd pick, but just like Jankins last year, he may have ran himself out of the top 10.I was watching Haden run and by the eyeball test, he looked faster than Mays. .2 slower. Odd................
