Patriot RB's do tend to pick up some TD's though.....so they are hardly fantasy irrelevant.....also, in ppr leagues, if you can find the hot hand in rec's out of the backfield, you can find a nice sleeper play at a flex. Just b/c they don't get many ru yds, don't confuse that for irrelevant.

Lions RBs are a real battle. Best looks to have the upper hand but could be one conk on the noggin and gone for the year. LeShore is coming back from a major injury and neither one may be around at the start of the season. Really enough to make you nervous.

It should be set up as a twofer pick........ draft one get them both.

Dallas Cowboys RB DeMarco Murray had five games with 20 or more carries last season, the most for any running back since head coach Jason Garrett became offensive coordinator in 2007. Murray also became the first back under Garrett to have four consecutive games with 20 or more carries. Then in Week 14 he suffered a fractured ankle when Giants DE Dave Tollefsen landed on Murray's leg. Most experts are calling for Murray to take over but RB Felix Jones is in the last year of his rookie contract and playing for his future.

They drafted Hillman as well and he's getting a lot of love on these boards....I still think Moreno could surprise some. Will be interesting to watch.

Matt Williamson of ESPN's Scouts Inc. believes rookie Ronnie Hillman could take over for Willis McGahee as the Broncos' starter during the season. Williamson astutely points out that Hillman is a better fit than McGahee in Peyton Manning's Colts-style stretch running game. While Hillman has the talent for a speedy depth-chart ascension, he could start training camp behind McGahee, Lance Ball, Knowshon Moreno, and Mario Fannin. Considering John Fox's reluctance to feature rookies in major roles, Hillman is facing an uphill battle for more than change-of-pace duties.

Wow...good call here Miller!
Patriots, if they follow the pattern of the past I see Ridley as the Law-firm replacement, and Vereen(if healthy) being the Faulk/woodhead replacement. Love vereen in PPR league.
Bucs - welcome to the Big 10 Y'all!! Blount up the middle for two, then Martin out wide or for screen on third. This will be very run heavy...and I see both getting carries, but if Blount continues to fumble he won't see the ball.
Broncos - its Willis til proven otherwise. But I see Hillman getting more and more as season goes on. Moreno is cannon fodder.
Lions - sheesh. If they could JUST stay healthy. Best will be awesome....if LeShoure is back and not suspended. Let LeShoure pound, and let Best flash and receive and this team will rock even more on offense.
Arizona - Wells CAN'T stay healthy. So look for Williams to take over there.

How about:
Miami - is it still Bush? Or will Thomas or Miller take over? I like Bush more and more if he is back in N.O. roll as receiver and change of pace. Especially in PPR leagues.
Buffalo - C.J. vs. Fred? I have been a loooonnnnnngggg fan of Fred Jackson, and I think he gets the majority..but I know some don't.

TC is getting closer, all these battles are about to heat up.

Read a report today that there is no clear favorite in the TB RB battle. Those taking Marttin high, may find themselves disappointed with a RB who isn't getting the bulk of the carries.

The Miami battle is the one that I have the most at stake in and I'll be listening for the Florida Outlaws to keep me in tune with what's happening over in the Sunshine State.

I think you have to add Seattle now, as Lynch may be facing a long suspension, so Turbin or others will have to compete. Wonder if Benson finally gets signed now due to this?

Oh, anyone else notice Best is still not released to practice? Neither is LeShoure I believe. May be more a battle in Detroit for K.Smith or some.

Lynch's camp seems to be convinced that they can put the court case off until post season which should delay his suspension until next year if prior history holds true here.

The Best non-story is proving to be an interesting one as his people had predicted clearance from the doctors this month but now they steadfastly refuse to say whether he has received that or not.

Not a training camp battle in the true sense of the term. But Redman may get a couple of early starts.

Steelers RB Rashard Mendenhall, for all of his post-knee surgery optimism, probably won't be ready to start the season. That means Isaac Redman, who has made all of two career starts, will be the starter de jour. The Steelers rarely open a season with such an inexperienced player at such a critical position, yet there seems to be a strong trust factor in Redman among his teammates and management.
