Ray Rice is about to be crucified

The nfl and ravens can't add on more games according to Roger Cossack. The only way he can be punished further is if they cut him.

They should have done it when it first happened. The video doesn't change anything. They knew he knocked her out which is why he was suspended. I don't get why people are calling for his head now that there is a video.
Just posted in another place on this. Actually there were multiple reports that stated she was intoxicated and there wasn't clear proof his "hit" was the whole reason for her knock out.

I don't condone this, and quite frankly wish he were cut to make an example of. But for whatever stupid reason the league "pooh poohed" it with a measly two games. Short of cutting, I don't think they can touch him.

Question is, can the league give any cap help to Ravens if they do cut him, or does his contract have an out where they don't eat the cap for cutting him.

We all knew he knocked his wife out. Why now is everyone calling for him to be banished because there's a video out?
Because now we see it in clear view. Yes we knew she was hit, and yes I agree it should have been greater punishment. But this was a blatant shot to the face, which we did not know prior.

I agree that he should be cut but Ray McDonald was just arrested for DV and he played in the game yesterday. If you're going to force the hand of one team to cut the player why shouldn't the other teams do the same? DV is DV whether you knock the woman out it not.

If he is convicted I am there with you. I don't disagree. However, the whole story about McDonald hasn't been handled yet. Innocent until proven guilty, and if guilty they better throw the damn book at his ass.

NFL has now suspended him indefinitely, due to new evidence. So no one can pick him up and play him this year.

I don't care if he ever plays again but What happened to the first offense being 6 games? The commissioner really confuses me with his tactics. Haha

Oh, this is NFL playing catch up...no question. The amount of crap they got for 2games is one thing, but with the clear video evidence now, they are screwed. This will be a night mare for them for a long time yet.

I agree they made a huge mistake only suspending him 2 games, but I don't get how they turn around and say we are going to make the punishment more severe. 6- games for first offense and banishment for the 2nd offense. They then see the video and suspend him for at least the whole season. So are they going to change the punishments again and make a season long suspension for all first time offenses?

per a report I read at PFT, he played this off as he was being attacked by his now wife(that was what he told teammates), and defended himself. Per the league, they had not seen that video prior to this. So I am assuming they are invoking some claim of Rice misleading them.

As opposed to what?? Of course she was punched in the head. A video being leaked changes absolutely nothing. We've known all along that he clocked his woman with force in the head.

This is absolutely ridiculous! I know I might be in the minority here, but what kind of message does this bull sh*t cowardly PR move really send??

The league and team and EVERYONE knew he punched her and knocked her out. The Ravens organization wasn't disgusted enough to do a thing about it. The the full video comes out and they go into damage control.

You can't expect me to believe that the NFL office hadnt seem the full video either. Did the casino edit the footage down and only show a part of it?? I'm not buying it. The NFL had seen this, they knew the full scope, it was being kept hidden, and now it's too late.

I'm seriously disgusted with the league right now. It's all about perception. So we all fail to remember Brandon Marshall beating up his lady?? Where's his season long ban? Where's the public outcry?? Ohhhh..there wasn't a viral video, so it's ok.

League is full of violent, drunk, weed smoking, wife beating, degenerate gamblers, and criminals, but it's only a black eye on the league if the public sees it with their own eyes. What do we expect?? Look at these muscle heads! Are we surprised by crimes from dudes who spend their careers smashing violently into eachother?? Wake up people. We LOVE the violence of the sport. How many people laughed and cheered when Antonio Brown kicked that punter in the face yesterday??

Still pisses me off that Vick got 2 years for his act and we are gonna put a murderer into the Hall of fame. Rice's actions, Marshall's, many many more...........and a guy still gets a worse sentence for performance enhancing drugs than for beating his wife/girlfriend. Don't get my first sentence wrong either. The handling of those dogs was deplorable.....I just don't bring it up to the level of knocking out a women or being involved in a murder.
