A product of Owens? If you mean he played the fool because TO was there, Child please. 85 was a fool long before TO showed up.

Owens played really well last year. At 37, he's still a far superior receiver to 85. I would love SF to pick him up. As well as he takes care of himself, he could play at a high level for at least two more years. Big improvement for SF over Morgan.

I mean the offense focused on targeting Owens. Period. I won't argue who the better receiver is, the stats prove themselves. I also won't argue who the biggest knucklehead is, both fit. But I DO believe that Ocho's numbers were down due to poor QB play and Owens being the target, and add in the fact Cincy finally learned to use a Te in thier offense.

But he wasn't too tired to pick up that 100+ mil contract....play or retire, no way i'd trade the cry baby.....and tired of losing??? Come on guys, it's not like this is the Bengals of the 90's! They sucked last year, but this is a team with 2 division titles in 6 years. They were also a missed FG in 06 away from the playoffs......it's not what we want, but damn, those 2 division title are damn sure more than a lot of teams have over that same period of time.

And what is sour about what I said??? He is QUITTING on his team and the committment he made.....it is what it is......if he is soooooo tired of losing, maybe he should figure out what he is throwing to players with the opposite jersey on almost as much as he is finding his own team in the endzone!

If Palmer was lighting it up and the team was holding him back, then he may have a leg to stand on, but when you cash in like an Elite QB.....play like an average QB at best......then just take your ball and go home like some 3rd grade boy who didn't like the way school yard pick'em went......sorry, no sympathy from me. If he doesn't like losing, get better, don't quit!

This is a lose/lose all away around.

First I agree with Miller here that Palmer is quitting. He was NEVER the leader they wanted, and has decided to fold his tent and go home.

I also think that Cincy will hold him until he finally is done. That is Mike Brown and he will use Palmer as an example. But the fact is, he isn't the Qb they wanted, or needed....so letting him go might be the right thing.

Oh well, this will be a farce now. Because they will draft a Qb early, spend a ton of money, then Palmer will return which willf orce them to move him due to cap issues.

And that could be Palmers ace in the pocket.
