As much as I like watching Deebo play, hoping 49ers can get a big haul from the Jets on draft day. Hate to lose him, but now is probably the best time to break from a player coming off a huge season who has a history of injury and a playing style, while awesome to watch, increases the chance of injury, who is looking to be the highest paid non QB in the game.

IMO you don't pay any WR or RB the money it would require now. Value is simply not worth it. Teams have learned this with Rbs, but for some reason not Wrs. Although a few of these HUGE contracts for Wrs have outs for teams.
I agree Deebo should not be paid that high, I also don't think anyone will want to pay him that. Needs to be more Kupp's and Brady's in the world who took less so team could be stocked.

Be careful what you wish for

Some talk on the Niner forums that he was unhappy with the way he was used as an RB. If true, I get that but it's also what makes him special. As a receiver, he is very good but he's not elite like Hill, Adams, Hopkins etc. The SF offense is perfectly designed for his skillset, which is why they drafted him.

If they do trade him, I think they will draft a more traditional WR and a more traditional pass catching RB, which they don't currently have on the roster.

Guess it's never good to look desperate. They do have some leverage here due to Deebo being under contract and having FT options. They aren't giving him awaay
