(RotoWire) Jones-Drew (undisclosed injury) missed practice for the third straight day Thursday, Vito Stellino of the Florida Times-Union reports. Analysis: At this point, Jones-Drew looks iffy for Saturday's preseason game against the Bucs, but so far the details of what's ailing him have not been released.

Wish they would let us know what's going on. Maybe that's why he has amassed -2 yards rushing so far in the preseason.

There has been nothing leaked anywhere about his reason for missing practice this week. I'll be listening to him live tonight on his radio show to see if he brings it up. He does have a cool 2 hour show on fantasy football every week this season.

I am not in jacksonville. What station is it and is there an online feed? Can you post what is said about his injury when it becomes available?

(FFChamps) Maurice Jones-Drew won't play in this week's preseason game, according to Vito Stellino's (Florida Times-Union) twitter page. Analysis: MJD is dealing with an assortment of ailments, and the Jaguars dont want him getting any worse. Hopefully the stud rusher will be near 100 percent for Week 1 versus Denver.

It gets a bit stranger with MJD. The station is re-airing last week's show even though they've been talking all week about who the guests would be this week. MJD did not make it to the stadium for tonight's 2 hour program.

Let me know what the talk is, mud. I have a draft on Sunday that I'm in the 3 hole for. I'm sold on taking MJD, assuming CJ and ADP are gone, but if he's nicked up, I may consider Ray Rice.

There was no news tonight. They never said a word about the fact that the show was a replay. They never said why MJD wasn't there.

I hope there is nothing serious wrong with MJD. He has been one of the safest of the top 4-5 picks in recent years for fantasy football owners.

This could be pretty serious.

And it could be ABSOLUTELY nothing. My feeling is that they are simply shutting him down for TC and going to get him ready for the reg season. Likely just banged up and what does he have to prove anyway? With today's media it is next to impossible to keep anything a secret, there isn't anything I have heard that would make me move him down at this point.

Normally I would agree totally here.

that being said, I wonder if there was a personal family issue or some such? dunno: Just have to wait and see....

FFMastermind.com's Dr. Gilbert Brovar spoke to Jacksonville Jaguars RB Maurice Jones-Drew (unspecified) today on Sirius Radio XM 187 about his current status. When asked if he was OK, Jones replied "It's only practice" and that "I'm ready to roll!"

This gets stranger still IMO. His show comes on the air at 6pm and runs 2 hours. I listened to the first 30 odd minutes in the truck and then came inside and made my above post about it being a repeat of last week, which it most definetly was. A new member here, Doomsday told me that he called in later that night so the show must have switched to live?? I dunno what's up.

(RotoWire) Though Jones-Drew missed practice Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, he said Thursday that he does not have an injury and is being held out as a precautionary measure, the Florida Times-Union reports. Analysis: "It's like Allen Iverson said, it's practice," Jones-Drew noted. "In the preseason...There's no worries." We'll have to take Jones-Drew's word that no injury is in play here, but his comments indicate that his Week 1 availability is not in any danger, despite his conspicuous absence from practice this week. Whether he plays against Tampa Bay Saturday remains unclear, but Jones-Drew indicated that decision will be up to coach Jack Del Rio.

after all the oline "sudden" injuries in preseason a year or so ago, it's hard to blame them for holding him out . . . i happened to draft mjd that year . . . freakin sucked . . . lol

Jacksonville Jaguars RB Maurice Jones-Drew (knee) is expected to sit out the rest of the preseason because of a minor knee injury, sources told Aaron Wilson, of NationalFootballPost.com. Jones-Drew recently underwent an arthroscopic procedure to clean out his knee. He is expected to be ready for the start of the season.

Now there is talk about a clean up scope.
