Maurice Jones-Drew Injury/ Looks like a Full Go now.

I suspect so too, Mud. but this is one of those sources that has been known to throw out guesses as fact and hope they stick to the wall. Hoping for some confirmation from another source soon.

Here's the entire write up from rotoworld,
The National Football Post's Aaron Wilson reports that Maurice Jones-Drew is done for the preseason with "a minor knee injury" that recently required arthroscopic surgery.

A source tells Wilson that Jones-Drew was dealing with "lingering meniscus issues." The procedure is believed to be routine, but this is a concern with Jacksonville's opener only two weeks away. While we don't anticipate him missing any games, MoJo is coming off his first year as a true feature back and wore down as the 2009 season progressed, averaging just 3.7 yards per carry in the final seven weeks with one game of 82-plus rushing yards. At this point, we aren't moving him behind Ray Rice or Frank Gore in our rankings.

cbssports.com,
Contrary to a published report, CBSSports.com has learned through a source that Jaguars RB Maurice Jones-Drew has not had any surgery this offseason. According to the source, Jones-Drew is being rested because his place on the roster is secure. When asked if Jones-Drew would make a further statement regarding this issue, the source said that it was unlikely because it was "a non-issue." Jones-Drew previously referenced Allen Iverson when asked about his knee, saying that it's not a big deal that he's missing practice. The report said that Jones-Drew had minor arthroscopic knee surgery and will miss the remainder of the preseason.

Analysis: We wouldn't be surprised if something was up with Jones-Drew's knee, but surgery would cause some serious jitters among Fantasy owners who were eying him with a Top-5 pick. He should be OK to start the season, though if we hear otherwise we'll react accordingly. He remains a safe early first-round pick in all formats thanks to his incredible talent combined with his immense role in the Jaguars' offense.

rotoworld,
The agent for Maurice Jones-Drew disputes a report that his client underwent knee surgery recently, calling the story "absolutely false."

Agents often deny stories such as this immediately after they come out, but the National Football Post's report seemed shaky from the start. According to the Florida Times-Union, Jones-Drew will not play in the Jags' third preseason game, but it sounds like his absence will be precautionary rather than surgery related. It does look like the reason Jones-Drew is missing practice and games is a knee injury. The extent is unknown.

And it could be ABSOLUTELY nothing. My feeling is that they are simply shutting him down for TC and going to get him ready for the reg season. Likely just banged up and what does he have to prove anyway? With today's media it is next to impossible to keep anything a secret, there isn't anything I have heard that would make me move him down at this point.

Mind games....

RB Kolby Smith was released by the Jaguars on Saturday. Smith was signed on as insurance in case starter Maurice Jones-Drew was to miss any regular season time, but it seems now that MJD will be fine for Week 1, making Smith expendable.

Just in case you were still worried, MJD appears a full Green Light now.

I still think picking up his handcuff Rashad Jennings is a smart move if you've got the roster space.
