Lynch wants out of Buffalo

rotoworld,
The Buffalo News suggests the Seahawks could show renewed interest in Marshawn Lynch after releasing LenDale White.

The Seahawks came calling for Lynch before acquiring White, but they were scared off by the Bills' unreasonable asking price. Coach Pete Carroll had a physical back on his shopping list all offseason, so there's reason to believe he's back to square one. The Bills will have to lower their demands if they want to extract anything of value out of their former Pro Bowler. Lynch's off-field history could be a second stumbling block.

rotoworld,
In a recent interview with Comcast Sports Network in San Francisco, Marshawn Lynch disclosed that GM Buddy Nix told him he would not be traded.

The interview took place a week ago, before LenDale White's release. The Seahawks presumably still want to pick up a physical back, but Lynch's checkered history is no better than White's. The Bills seemed resigned to keeping Lynch as a third back this season, though it's worth noting that he was a no-show again for Tuesday's voluntary practice.

He'll get traded. They are just trying to maximize what they get for him, so they're throwing out the we'll keep him propaganda. He was gone the moment they drafted Spiller..........

Seattle would be a good fit, but I'm still thinking NE. Since the Bills are a long way from challenging for the division, I don't think trading him to a division rival matters. I really think the guy would do well under coach Bill. Clean slate and all that.

i am not sure he will be traded, but I do think he will be gone at the least.

The Bills will do everything in their power not to release him. They want something for him. But his troubled past will make it hard.

rotoworld,
Marshawn Lynch arrived in Buffalo Tuesday night, a source tells Scout.com's Adam Caplan.

Lynch has been a no-show during the first round of voluntary offseason workouts amid swirling trade rumors. It's possible that Lynch is now resigned to his fate as an afterthought behind Fred Jackson and rookie C.J. Spiller. We're fairly certain Lynch still wants out of Buffalo.

Updating a previous item, Marshawn Lynch did not show for Bills OTAs on Wednesday.

Asked if he'd heard from Lynch, coach Chan Gailey replied with a terse "No." Lynch was reported to have arrived in Buffalo Tuesday, but apparently never made it to Orchard Park. He's not endearing himself to the coaching staff.

rotoworld,
ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Marshawn Lynch is expected to show for Bills OTAs on Thursday.

There was also an expectation that Lynch would show up last week, so we'd take this with some caution. With the Bills' coaching staff displeased that Lynch hasn't communicated his whereabouts to this point or reported to any offseason work, Lynch won't find himself higher than No. 3 on the depth chart. He's likely to enter the regular season in similar position.

rotoworld,
Marshawn Lynch reportedly showed up to Bills OTAs in top physical condition.

According to Scout.com's Adam Caplan, a source said Lynch "looked like he has been working out hard." Lynch hasn't approached LenDale levels, but his weight has seemed to be an issue at times during his three-year career. He'll need to be in elite form to make a case for carries as a third-stringer.

Why is benching the guy considered punishment? Getting paid for not working isn't punishment. Besides, who is gonna give up any amount of quality for a third stringer?

I say make this dude carry the ball 40 times a game, put him on special teams, and maybe play a little defense....Nose tackle, maybe.

(nfl.com)Despite reports that Bills RB Marshawn Lynch would be practicing with the Bills Thursday, Lynch was not in attendance at practice. Rumors have been swirling that Lynch would be in Buffalo and appear at Bills camp all week but he has yet to show up there. Lynch is seemingly unhappy with the team's drafting of RB C.J. Spiller and his shrinking role in the offense.

rotoworld,
Marshawn Lynch remains "unhappy" that he's still in Buffalo, according to NFL Network's Jason LaCanfora.

Lynch is concerned about a lack of playing time this season and what that will mean for his future earning potential. He may plan on skipping all voluntary work this spring, but he has no leverage if the Bills prefer to hold onto him. Lynch is signed cheaply through 2012.

Bills coach Chan Gailey said Friday that he has "heard" Marshawn Lynch is no longer in the Buffalo area.

Lynch worked out at the Bills' facility on Wednesday and Thursday, but apparently went back to California Thursday night or Friday morning. "I don't know," Gailey said when asked about Lynch's status. "I have not talked to Marshawn. You'll probably have to ask him. Somebody told me he was in town for a couple of days and then I heard he left. ... You'd have to ask him."

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Bills and Marshawn Lynch are "tiring of each other."

Schefter indicates that Lynch's strategy of attending the Bills' facility but refusing to practice may be working. Lynch and coach Chan Gailey have yet to meet each other, and Gailey expressed frustration with the situation over the weekend. The Bills may have blown their chance to get a high pick for Lynch during the draft, but he could probably still command a 2011 mid-rounder.

rotoworld,
The Bills won't trade Marshawn Lynch for anything less than a fourth-round pick, according to NFL.com's Vic Carucci.

No team has stepped up to meet the asking price, and new coach Chan Gailey has yet to even meet Lynch. "Chan is not going to approach this like (his predecessor, Dick) Jauron," Carucci's source said. "He's not going to handle things the way Dick did with Jason Peters. Lynch is going to get on board with his program, period." We'll see about that. Lynch has the potential to be a major distraction if the Bills don't find a way to unload him.

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said he's "not necessarily" looking for a physical short-yardage back to replace LenDale White.

The Marshawn Lynch rumors haven't died down with his Buffalo future up in the air, but Carroll is hoping one of his own runners emerges. We wouldn't bank on it. Julius Jones hasn't scored more than two TDs in the past three years, Justin Forsett isn't physical, Quinton Ganther lacks talent, and Louis Rankin is a lankier back.

Just make the deal Pete. A 4th rounder is a steal for a guy that was a top pick just 4 short years ago............

His attitude must really suck if someone isn't willing to give up a four for him. He certainly doesn't have a lot of miles on him.

For some reason, this situation reminds me of Cory Dillon. I think Lynch would be a great pick up for the Pats. BB seems to do OK with supposed trouble players..........
