Deal is McNabb for the skins 2010 2nd and 2011 3rd or 4th rd depending on performance.

I find it extremely surprising they deal him to a divisional rival! Interesting to see what they do with Campbell in the RFA contract now as well.

Snyder is running this franchise straight into the ground. I like McNabb as much as anyone, but what's the point of this deal? They go from 5 wins to 7 and make a splashy headline? The main reason this team is in shambles is because they have done nothing but trade quality draft picks for aging veterans ever since dumbass took over. So why not stick to that plan?
This means a few things.. Russell Okung, welcome to the nation's capital; Jason Campbell will never take another snap in a regular season game as a Redskin; and most importantly.. Donovan gets to achieve his lifelong goal by throwing passes to the immortal SANTANA MOSS!!!!!! (LOL)

Fantasy Note: Upgrade Moss, Chris Cooley, and Devin Thomas in your fantasy rankings for 2010-2011.

Wow, was just reading about the Redskins possibly trading up to get Bradford this morning. I like this a bit more then Wes does, apparently.
Khris/Runnik should be excited about Moss!

I'm thinking like Wes...Skins will show an improvement with McNabb but not enough to justify selling out the future. (though a 2 and a 4 is pretty cheap for a #1 QB).

Curious if Washington will do anything to shore up the trenches and build for the future or if they are putting all their marbles on some crusty old vets. If they don't do something pro-active, in a couple of years they will have no QB or RBs.

The BIG news is for the Eagles fans. They now have a shot at a Super Bowl over the next few years.

Learning to love the Eagles and that's saying a lot from an old Cowboy fan.

I'm sorry to see him go but I'm also trying to be realistic. We needed to trade him and see what we have with Kolb (who by all accounts has the potential to be just as good).

I think getting a top 37 pick and a conditional 3 or 4 in next year's draft is good value. It will allow us to rebuild our defense and get a lot of young talent in here for what's already one of the youngest teams in the league.

In a few years nobody will be thinking about the 2nd round pick etc. and this deal will be evaluated almost entirely on what Kevin Kolb is and how McNabb plays in Washington. Essentially, this was a trade for Kevin Kolb as the starting QB and only time will tell whether he's an Aaron Rodgers or a Matt Leinart.

I thought for sure that McNabb would go to at least a playoff contender.

As a owner of McNabb in my dynasty league i'm very disappointed with where he ended up.

IMO his fantasy stock fell faster than "Martha Stewart Living" stock did during her felony conviction.

I can't wait to see what Kolb has to offer. He played pretty well last year when filling in for McNugget.

Now Shanny has 3 old running backs and an old QB.

If the Skins do as Coach inferred and deal Campbell and the #4 pick up to get Bradford, I suppose this deal looks better. Although for the long-term I don't understand how that would be more beneficial than leaving well enough alone, drafting Clausen to sit behind Campbell for a year, and keeping that high 2nd rounder.

My point being, they aren't making the playoffs in that division for at least 2 years anyway, so why act like they're only 1 player away?

I think it might happen sooner than people here think. The defense isn't bad, they would just be on the field too long. And Thomas, Washington and Davis are coming into year three. And now they have a QB that is used to pressure - and winning.

Redskins have a lot of older veterans, and it seems Shannie and Allen want to reward them, and the fans, with some wins while they infuse some youth in the background - as opposed to just blowing everything up. Hopefully they start by using their first on a solid lineman so the old guys stay in one piece.

Man...this is going to be tough to deal with.

I wasn't one of those guys who was upset at the selection of McNabb. I actually had no idea who he really was except for the fact that I heard in scouting combines that he may be more suitable to play in the CFL because of his style of play and how the CFL's game fits his playmaking abilities. Because I am an Eagles fan, he made an immediate impact and I became a fan of his right from the get go. I can honestly say he has surpassed Randal Cunningham has my all-time favourite Eagle. Year in, year out, I could count on him to give it his all and to guide the team in 8 seasons, 5 NFC Championships in 8 seasons, 4 division titles and 1 Super Bowl in his 11 seasons, is outstanding.

I will however say that yes, in the Super Bowl and NFC Championship games he did choke because I saw the one decision in each of those games that broke it, but let's be honest...he got them that far and in that span, not a lot of teams had that consistency. Teams that won the NFC Championship game vs. the Eagles, either missed the playoffs the following year or never recovered since. The Eagles were always favoured to be one of the dominant teams.

Good luck D-Mac!

:wow:
First I am excited on what we got for McNabb. Eagles could not re-sign both Kolb and McNabb, and to get value for one of them is huge. Now they don't walk off for free as a UFA.
Second, I like the value, they wanted a pick in the top 42...and got it. Add to that a potential 3rd or 4th rounder next year is better. Add to the extra picks Philly got for dealing Brown and Gocong to Cleveland...and they have all kinds of picks to deal this year to move up, or deal for picks next year.
Lastly, I am very disappointed he is in our division again. I think that will only motivate him. I also agree with O in that they are not that bad a team. If either or both young Wrs develop, and they keep Moss....add to that two solid receiving TEs with cooley and co. Lots of talent, plus rbs to spare now. Makes this a four horse race in the NFC east again.

Now Philly must get value with all the picks. They have to get DE, LB, OL and CB help. With all the picks they got, they should be able to do that.
