Sure is a lot of smoke coming up in Arlington.

Free agent Ronnie Hillman worked out for the Cowboys on Thursday.

I hope it isn't from Zeke toking on a blunt.

Uh...yikes. The woman involved in the abuse case against Elliot posted a social media post telling women to get out of abusive relationships, and even threatens to write a tell all book.

This is very, very bad for the league, if they do nothing, and she publishes and it goes viral.....they look to have a worse case than Rice.....good grief...what a mess

All charges stemming from ex-Cowboys WR/KR Lucky Whitehead's petty larceny case have been dropped.

This is a bad look for the Cowboys, who instantly cut Whitehead when news of the (false) accusation broke. The warrant for Whitehead's arrest was "rescinded" when Virginia police discovered they "had the wrong guy." Whitehead was a largely-ineffective gadget player/special teamer, anyway, but you can be sure the media is going to let the Cowboys have it, particularly in light of their unflinching stance that Ezekiel Elliott is innocent of multiple far-more-sinister alleged crimes.

If you're good Jerry loves you if not don't let the door hit you in the as$.

Coming at you
You're "character" is dependent on how good you are. Zeke is a nice, misunderstood young man. Lucky was a dirty, rotten thief so we cut him immediately.

Oops. Zero impact on anything but a clear message from the boss on pecking order. Lol

(1 hr ago) The NFL could relay a decision pertaining to the league's investigation of Elliott as soon as Friday, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports.
Resolution of Elliott's situation has been slow to arrive, but Rapoport suggests that clarity on that front could occur by Friday. Per the report, the league has been looking into multiple incidents involving Elliott for more than a year, but it now appears as though the NFL is just about set to rule whether or not the running back will be subject to any league discipline.

The NFL informed Ezekiel Elliott that "any additional violations" of the personal conduct policy "may result in your suspension or potential banishment."

Here's what the Football Guys say about upcoming events...

Ezekiel Elliott Timeline - What's Next?
Things are moving fast with the Ezekiel Elliott story. I caught up to our Footballguys Legal Expert, Ari Ingel and Ari laid out this timeline for us. Here's what he's seeing.

- 6 game suspension handed down.

- Then 3 days to appeal (Elliott would be allowed to play until appeal is done).

- The League has to schedule an appeals hearing within 10 days.

- After the appeals hearing, the League has to issue its ruling within a practical amount of time. Very murky timeline. Could be days or weeks.

- League could lessen games or hold to 6. Either way, that becomes final and Elliot is not allowed to play.

- Elliott could file an action in court stating that the League violated the CBA. He then needs to seek an injunction in order to play. If he doesn't get one, he doesn't play. For a domestic violence case like this, will the courts give one? They gave an injunction for Tom Brady, but that was a very different offense. They did with Adrian Peterson. Although it was a child and not a woman which may be seen as more egregious. Bottom line, getting an injunction is a wildcard.

- If an injunction grants that Elliott can play, STILL Goodell can just put him on the Commissioners Exempt list. This could be even more than 6 games. Goodell can use this to punish essentially. So Elliott gets paid but doesn't play.

- Unfortunately for Elliott, the Brady case ended up going in the Leagues favor in the courts and clarified that Goodell can punish as he sees fit and is allowed to be judge, jury and executioner. The players negotiated that fairly in the CBA. So Elliott very well may not get the injunction.

- One last very important point. The court case will not be about whether or not Elliott did it. It will be about whether or not the NFL violated the CBA. So it's about the process used. People kept getting tripped up about that in the Brady case and is the reason the appeals court overruled the first judge who erroneously made it about the innocent or guilt.

There you have it ... now we wait. Ari's Personal opinion .... Elliott will miss games. That may start Week 1 or Week 3. But he will miss time. He's not Tom Brady, far from it. And if Goodell can go up against Tom Brady and Robert Kraft, he can go up against Ezekiel Elliott and Jerry Jones.

TMZ obtained eight photos of bruising on the body of suspended RB Ezekiel Elliott's domestic abuse accuser.

This certainly won't help Elliott's chances of winning an appeal. Ex-girlfriend Tiffany Thompson took photos of bruising on her arms, hands, neck, and legs following the alleged domestic incident. At the time, Elliott told police officers the woman was injured during a bar fight with someone else.

No he will not get his suspension shortened IMO.

Given Goodell's letter, the NFL had no recourse but to apply -- finally -- its six-game, first-time discipline for domestic violence to Elliott. According to the league, during "the early morning" hours of July 17, 2016 there was an altercation at an apartment in which Elliott and Thompson were present in Columbus in which he used "physical force" that caused injuries to her "arms, neck and shoulders." On the "morning" of July 19 at the same apartment, Elliott "used physical force" that injured her "face, arms, wrist and hands." And during the "early morning" of July 21, at that same apartment, he "used physical force" to injure her "face, neck, arms, knee and hip."
The league says the Columbus DA, while not moving forward with charges, "generally believed her for all of the incidents."

Jerry Jones has some explaining to do after how he treated the Ezekiel Elliott issue

While the league has closed it's investigation into his recent bar fight they could still hand down more suspensions for exposing the woman's tits or so multiple sources say. With that stick hanging out there Ziek would be wise to stay out of the courts with this hopeless case. Were he to sue he could be placed on the "exempt list" for an even longer period of time.

Yes to both questions. I do think this will get dragged out

The appeal won't get dragged out IMO. It'll be upheld in a heap big hurry. Now if he goes to court it could drag on but all the Commish has to do is move him to the exempt list until the case is over. He'd drop the suit like a hot potato. After viewing the pictures for the first time yesterday and seeing the bruises I don't feel sorry for the thug at all.
