Cutler in Chicago??

I've found Chicago QB's, when not performing turnover heroics, are serviceable QB's in a pinch.

Add in the talent and challenge Cutler brings to the Huge Ego's out wide, you've got a prescription for fantasy gold.

Anyone want to try and NOT go cover 2 with Hester out there?

You heard it. The ball has heat after 20 yards. From a pro. Like yeah, we can go deep.

Are you hearing this?

The Bears can go deep!

Just to inject a little intell between the debate

Offensive coordinator Ron Turner said, "We will have some designed movement plays. We're moving the pocket with him, and then he has the ability to create things on his own when it's not there - if the coverage isn't what we wanted or if there's a protection breakdown. That's something the receivers will have to get used to and something we'll work on definitely more than what we've done.

Good that is done. Just a quick point to interject.

While I am not sure someone emerge as a number #1 WR for the Bears we could just see all the Wrs click up a tier/round or two ala the Chargers great QB no clear cut number one.

When talking WRs Corps don't forget the TE in your equation. The Cowboys during the Trio years (Aikman, Emmitt, Irvin) really never neded to develop that Royal Guy at WR because the TE was pretty damm good.

I disagree Coach. sorry. Jay Novacek was integral and The Moose was known to get loose. And Sir Alvin Harper boned the Niners on Norv's mighty call from up high.

I think the perfect example of a number one getting off with a number two is the Bills. Old what's his name and Pearless Price. What was his name?

This has the look of Philly during McNabb's entire career. (minus the T.O. season)

Starring Matt Forte as a young Brian Westbrook, and a large handful of #3-type WR's.

There could honestly be 6 different guys who catch at least 40 passes (E. Bennett, D. Hester, R. Davis, J. Iglesias, G. Olsen, Forte), which will be just fine for Cutler's value and team success for Da Bears. I won't even speculate on who emerges from that bunch, but it makes Olsen much more valuable than he's been thus far, and adds to Forte's PPR value.

Point of this post being, if McNabb can be a top option with the corps he's had for the past decade, Cutler will be just fine in 2009 with that crew.

Cutler has called Burress???

  • -- Jets & Bears Still Interested in Plaxico Burress --
    Sun May 24, 2009 --from FFMastermind.com
  • The New York Daily News reports ex-Giants WR Plaxico Burress' immediate football future should be clarified three weeks from tomorrow at his next court appearance. If Burress manages to avoid jail time and a lengthy suspension from NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, the Jets are going to be serious about signing him. It makes sense from a football standpoint. He is exactly what the Jets need. The Bears are monitoring the situation, too. There have been reports that Chicago QB Jay Cutler has called Burress.

  • -- Greg Olsen Could Benefit from Addition of Jay Cutler --
    Sun May 24, 2009 --from FFMastermind.com
  • Chicago Tribune's Dan Pompei reports now that QB Jay Cutler is under center for the Bears, one of the primary beneficiaries could be TE Greg Olsen. He has made steady progress his first two years, and his production could improve significantly. The Bears plan to line him up at multiple spots, making it difficult to defend him.
