What....my link above isn't good enough for ya :stooges:
Miller's Team:
QB - Kevin Kolb, Brett Favre
RB - Knowshon Moreno, Caddy Williams, Lawrence Maroney, Leon Washington, Correll Buckhalter, Peyton Hillis
WR - Reggie Wayne, Calvin Johnson, Anquan Boldin, Bernard Berrian, Vincent Jackson, Sidney Rice
TE - Jason Witten
PK - Crosby
DT - Philly
Hillis will have to go to pick up backups for the TE, PK, and DT position as needed.
I hope one of your top WRs doesnt go down. You have no depth whatsoever at the moment.
Stewart was still on the board when Moreno was taken. I would have gone with Stewie, and I think that pick will haunt your team all year long.
Witten/Kolb was a nice combo at the 5/6 turn.
What made you pass on Clinton Portis to take Caddy Williams? Just curious......
Crosby was a good choice at PK
You drafted from a bad spot and made a few questionable picks. I forsee 6-7 at best with this ballclub.
Your right though, health there is a concern with my swing for the fences picks in Jackson and Rice. In hindsight, should have taken one or the other, not both and will likely swap one of the out.
You can forsee all you want, I'm winning the title baby
Why I made sure I got BuckyReading conflicting reports out of Denver:
One says Moreno will practice, one says he isnt close to returning.
:dunno:
I would be in no hurry to get rid of Hillis. I feel he makes a very nice RB 2 play this year. Call me crazy, and i know many will, but he is the 2nd best RB on your roster at this point. If Moreno comes back and plays which i feel really good about right now, Hillis will be your steadiest performer at #2.
damn you rc.....just when I have a nice sleeper WR I am going to grab for Hillis you have to go and talk him up like this.....
What type of role do you see him having in Cleveland?
I see him leading the team in touches and having all of the key touches in the redzone. I see 50 receptions and 8-10 td's.
The stats you mention above didn't happen last year. I was at Game 2 vs. the browns last year in Denver, when Hillis fumbled away the opening kickoff, and his season, as littlle BB put him in the doghouse. He ended up with 1 TD in 2009. The stats you speak of happened in the second half of the season in 2008. This is what you are gonna see in Cleveland this year. Do what you feel you need to Miller but I feel you need him.Love ya man, but you gotta step away from the crack pipe. :smoke:
I like Hillis as much as anyone. He's an ironman that can catch, block, run and yes....even throw. (wasn't he Denver's emergency QB?)
But still, there is nothing to support your claims of grandeur. In 2 years he's had 81 carries for 397 yds, the longest of which was 19 yards. His 6 TDs last year make him a legitimate candidate for goal line carries but I can't see that equating into most touches on the team.
Until the NFL returns to smashmouth football, Hillis and guys like him will be situational players.
Just my opinion, of course.
you are dead wrong in this case Sarge.Miller has much more severe needs on that team then worrying about keeping a RB5 with RB4 potential.
Enough with Hillis.
Do you thrive on being a jack ass? You are pretty good at it!I can assure you Im not wrong, but hey, if you think he is going to peel off RB1 numbers so be it. I wont convince you of how wrong you are no more than you can convince us of the same.
No, that team AS IS will not "be fine", nor do I think its Millers intention to just "be fine". Work needs to be done.
