The NFL has announced coronavirus testing from August 21-29 revealed 10 positive cases amongst league staff and players.
To put that in perspective, that is from 58,621 tests administered to 8,739 players and personnel during that time period. The NFL is still doing a remarkable job taming this plague, but the challenge will grow more difficult once training camp comes to an end. That's when teams' pseudo bubbles will disappear and travel will begin.

Yahoo's Charles Robinson reports contract-year Alvin Kamara is "pushing" toward Christian McCaffrey money in long-term talks ($16 million per season), while the Saints are offering in the $12 million range.
Per Robinson, the Saints are "comfortable" in the $12 million range, which is top-five money. Kamara is a CMC-type talent, but he does not handle CMC-type workloads. $16 million is a real stretch, especially considering the Saints' perennially tricky salary cap situation. $14 million is the obvious compromise, but the Saints might genuinely be unwilling to go beyond the $12-$13 million range, though Robinson reports the Saints view Joe Mixon's $12 million per year as a fair "starting point." Someone leaked Tuesday afternoon that the club is "open to trading" its lead back. That feels unlikely for a club that is Super Bowl-or-bust, as always.
