As one who has gone through ACL replacement surgery I can tell you that the road to recovery is a very bumpy one. He'll need to pay attention to his therapists and do everything they say. Hopefully, his recovery will be complete and without too many problems. I wish him the best.

I fear the Chiefs are in for a very long few years, as long as Reid is their coach.

I just read the story in my local paper. Sounds like he was a good guy. His last moments were spent thanking people for the opportunity to play in the NFL. Sad day indeed. Condolences to family and friends of both.

Look at what happened to Alex Karras. He played for the Lions in the 50's and 60's and recently died of his injuries. His health has been failing for many years.

Technology has to come up with more protective helmets for all players, not just QBs. I'm sure they'll be able to make something that can protect heads better than what is currently on the field. Looking back on what we wore when I played in high school all I can say is "wow". Its amazing...
