Success as an assistant doesn't indicate future success as a head coach. The skills that it takes to work for someone else aren't the same as the ones needed to take the helm and run the whole damned show.

I'm with Miller here. I think he'll be fine, under one condition: he stays in USC! If he and the AD allow Kiffin time to develop a team, he will be fine. Look back at his resume. He's barely had enough time to be successful anywhere! If he and his dad are allotted enough time to build teams that they want, USC will remain in the top 10 every year.
