Who are the best 6 picks?

Without knowing your scoring system, I'll base this on a standard one.

ADP - Great back and the focal point of an offense with a fine defense to get the ball back to him. He needs to improve on the goaline this year, as he wasn't very effective last season there

MJD - Can he handle the full load? He has shown the ability to finish (goaline), and has proven he can catch. Those receptions help get him the ball in space and save his body some.

Forte - Sophmore Slump?? I don't think so. It can't hurt that he has a QB who keeps the defense from stacking this year. Great all around back, who is the focal point of the offense running, and receiving.

LT - Even his bad year was a good one. Spoles will give him a blow now and then, but LT will be the man, and has another year in him. This is a window year for the Chargers, and they will go all out.

AJ - This is going to be a monster year for this stud Wr. He has a solid Qb, and a great Sophmore back to help ease the pressure, not to mention a great pair of compliments in the passing game with Daniels, and Walters.

Moss - Brady is back, and this team is on a mission. This is about as safe a pick as you can take in the middle of round 1.

Fitz - I placed him here because of three things.
1. Super Bowl hangover
2. Boldins status
3. Warners ability to repeat even 80% of last season.
They are going to miss Edge's ability to pass block. The Coach really messed that one up last year. Hightower couldn't handle the tough stuff, and just got the fluff. When given the whole gig he tanked, and Edge had to comeback and save the day.

There's my top 7. The order is relative to your 2nd round plans. I see all of these guys as top 4 or 5 picks in any draft.

i'm seeing adp, mjd, turner and forte in the top 4 picks in mocks and i believe people are choosing out of these 4 with more of a preference as all could succeed this year . . . one could reach a little for another rb after these 4 or go with the top 3 wr's here and no one would blink an eye . . . fitz, johnson, moss . . . some might throw brees in there, but myself, i couldn't see grabbing a qb in the 1st unless maybe at the turn . . . then again, you force your hand by doing that and either your rb or wr position is going to suffer by the long wait before your next turn . . . ;)

I think I am going to strategize for WR-strength overall primarily due to the following:

Roster Positions:
QB, WR, WR, RB, RB, TE, W/R, K, DEF, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN, BN

THIS IS A NON-PPR LEAGUE

We get 6 pts for passing and rushing and return TD's

Standard Yahoo scoring otherwise.

Bobbeaux, I planed to take a QB in the 3rd round or later after listening to the khris johnson & ryan lybbert podcasts. Maybe I'll get Trent Edwards or something. I will be taking WR, RB in first two rds at least.

If its a non PPR. wouldn't at least one RB instead of WRs be better picks in the 1st couple rounds. :hmmm:

you can do a lot better than trent edwards in the 3rd . . . if you stock up on rb's & wr's early, i think you'll be pleasantly surprised with the qb's available in the 6th & maybe even the 7th . . . i tend to go rb/wr or wr/rb with my 1st 2 picks unless someone drops to me . . . ;)

Ya....I didn't really think about it that way. That worked way sweeter than I thought to be a stronger team.
GOOD CALL Remote Controller!!!!!!!

My QB by the way is Chicago's Jay Cutler

Heres the QB picks in a 16 team league where passing TDs are worth 6. Keep in mind this is a start 2 QB league though

You are going to want a top QB, I wouldn't wait too long

The more I think about it the more thrilled I am. Gives me a fighting chance at least! Got two nice tier 1 players where if I had picked Fitz I would have gotten much much lesser RB. The strategy RC put out there to get the RB and maybe the top tier WR falls to me was inspiring.
