Which three would you keep?

Do you know what position you will be selecting from this year? If you are going to have one of the first 3 picks and are fairly certain that Bush, Gore or S-Jax will be there, then I would keep S. Smith, Turner and Gonzalez.

The team web page is down for some reason right now. I'm around 6th but will move up if any first round keepers are kept and they will be.

NFL Network just showed a stat where Jackson led all Rb's the last 3 years in ypg at 125 yards. He was followed by Westbrook with 121 yards, then LT with 119 yards, then ADP at 116 yards. I was shocked. They did add that he had never played in all 16 games.

Looks like I will be the odd ball here, but for one, no way I keep Jacobs over the other options. I would MUCH rather have Steve Smith at the expense of a 2nd than Jacobs at the 3rd.

HOWEVER, I don't keep either and keep my draft picks. Do need to know what happens if you keep 2 players that cost the same round? I go for the VALUE, Turner, Gonzo Lt and Jackson are all damn good values and cost you basically nothing. So you have a top RB, two up and coming WR's and all of your picks that matter.

If you only opt to keep 2 of them, I would keep Vincent Jackson over Gonzo Lt, but it's VERY close. I would then keep Turner, Smith and Jackson.

As anti Jacobs I am in this decision I am even more anti Cutler, no way I would keep him in this format.

If I kept two players that cost me the same round like the 14th I'd lose the 14 and 13th. If I kept a third 14th round keeper I'd lose round 12 in addition.

so if you keep Turner (13), Gonzo Lt (14) and Jackson (14) the 2nd 14th would jump to a 12 since you don't have the 13 or 14.

Figured that to be the case. I would do that IMO. losing your 12-14 is NOTHING! Nice bargains and you have all your picks.

Miller is spot on here. I agree with every point made.

Go for your good value. Use Gonzo lite and VJax and find good fillers with all your extra early picks

I still don't understand how you can have Turner as a #13rd, But ya. I agree with Miller

In our league a keeper player cost you the round he was drafted in the first year you keep him. A free agent keeper cost you a 14. Each year after that you keep that same player he cost you one round higher than the year before to keep. I took Turner two years ago when he was a back up in a contract year with the Chargers. I kept him last year losing a 14. This year it will be a 13. Next year if I keep him I'll lose a 12.

Bacon=greatest of all!
Turner, Jacobs, and Cutler!

That is your best value move. You will still have ability to draft in the first 2 rounds and can add quality value to make up for losing Steve Smith. You could corner the market in high TD producing RBs, or get a top QB like Manning and use Cutler as trade bait if he comes out smoking at the beginning of the season. You could also go after 2 top WRs and still be very solid at RB and above average at QB.

Don't forget fantasy is all about players that will score for you and win games! With Turner, Jacobs and Cutler you still have options to grab great players now in the first 2 rounds and if they don't produce this year, go back and try to find that diamond next year all the while having some very good quality in the long run.

Depending on the fall out of who is dropped (would pick all of the listed RB's over Jacobs this year) and where your picks in the opening rounds will be, I would be sorely tempted to go with Turner, Gonzo and Jackson.

If other players are keeping high round selections you should be able to snag some nice players with your early selections and getting nice value for 13/14/14 round selections. With 2 14 round options how does your league work that? Lose the selection for the round after?
