Which three would you keep?

I'm in a 12 team PPR league that keeps three players. You lose the round your keeper player was drafted in. Here's the players that I am considering with the round I'll lose in the draft for each player.

J Cutler-5

B Jacobs-3

M Turner-13

T Owens-1

S Smith-2

D Bess -14

A Gonzalez-14

V Jackson-14

Of course I'll be keeping Turner at a 13 unless I trade him. I'll seek your input on that trade later. Right now I'm leaning towards keeping Jacobs at a 3 and Either Gonzalez at 14 or Cutler at a 5.

What say you?

Personally?

Turner, Jacobs, and A Gonzalez / V Jackson

with either Gonzalez of Jackson you are getting great value. All 3 round 14 WRs are good values. I definitely wouldn't use one on J. Cutler.

I targeted Turner when he was in his contract year with the Chargers and that paid off well last year. This past season I targeted V Jackson with plans of using him as a keeper this year. Now I think Gonzalez may be the better value. WR was not kind to me last season and was my downfall.

I should have put this thread on the FF advice board. I apologize for the error. Maybe the admin has the ability to move it there.

Ok Chris....

Why not Jacobs? It would give him one hell of a RB tandem at bargain basement prices.

Who do you think would be available? Id figure most of the top tier backs would be gone and you would be dropping Jacobs for the chance to take a guy the quality of Jerome Harrison or Tashard Choice

In a ppr league I'm thinking that a lot of the keepers will be WR's. Gonzalez for a 14th pick is a huge bargain especially as a long term keeper. I might even be inclined to Keep Steve Smith over Cutler the more I think about it. I just don't like keeping Jacobs for a 3rd pick in a ppr league.

He can pick up a good RB in the 1st if he needs too so he would be starting w/ Turner, Gonzo, S. Smith and 1st rd RB x which would be nice.

We do not annouce keepers untill the week before preseason so this is only my best guess.

Most or some of these players will be there.

S Jackson

F Gore

L JOHNSON

R Bush

TO

LT

Peyton

W McGahee

B Westbrook

C Palmer

These are players that would cost the owner No. 1 or a high two pick that I'm expecting to be dropped as keepers. cctekguy may have other ideas.

Do you know what position you will be selecting from this year? If you are going to have one of the first 3 picks and are fairly certain that Bush, Gore or S-Jax will be there, then I would keep S. Smith, Turner and Gonzalez.

OK.....Gore MAYBE, but his injury history worry me.
S Jax has had ONE good year and a lot of disappointment
Bush.....Ive heard everything from slot WR to backup RB....

Which one do you think would be better for him to have?

I would target Gore or S-Jax. I still like S-Jax a lot. Probably even more so now that Holt is gone since I think it means that Jackson will be getting even more rec. out of the backfield. I think he's going to put up monster numbers this year.

I throw Bush out there since he's still young and is going to get his 70-80 catches this year and might be worth retaining, or trading during the year for someone you can retain at a cheaper price.

Well, injuries aside with SJ

The retooled line and lack of an established WR to fade the heat doesnt concern you?

Lets keep in mind if the season started tomorrow Donnie Avery and Keenan Burton are the 1-2 at WR

I don't care about the team around him really, like I said before all I see are opportunities for Jackson this year. He caught 90 balls his "good" year and don't see why he cant duplicate that with little help again this year.

But thats just it. That "good" year he had a good team around him.
