Top 5. This Saban to Texas junk kinda got me thinking.

Id say based on money, power, prestige, ability to win consistently, and facilities....

1. Alabama
2. Texas
3. Michigan
4. Ohio State
5. LSU
5A. USC

I'd add FSU and Oklahoma.

When i first saw the title i was thinking what job in the organization would be the best to have. Really got me thinking about that position there.

FSU kinda downgraded in my mind because of the last few years. Now if Jimbo hits 11-1 next year and 10-2 after that yeah Id say so.

Oklahoma is a tougher one to me. Between Switzer and Stoops, you had 3 coaches in 10 years who had the facilities, talent, and recruiting cache and were HORRIBLE.

I'd have to move LSU up a tad in your ranking Sarge though we both know that I'm not exactly impartial here. First rate facilities, an open door to Louisiana recruits who are always close to the best in the nation, pay that few beat, one of the nations largest fan bases and growing, the flagship university in the state, and the best neigbors in the country. A great city with super places to eat and Cajun Country just down the road. Hunters paradise and fishing that's second to none. New Orleans 70 minutes down the interstate and the Gulf of Mexico just over 2 hours away. The biggest strike against putting LSU near the top is our darn fickle fans who can turn on a coach in a hurry.

Florida
Ohio State

Those are the clear top 3. The others mentioned have some flaws. USC is in the hood and has crappy facilities, plus do not own an on campus stadium. Alabama is in a smaller state with stiff in-state competition. Michigan is located in a dying state. Right now I'd put LSU #4, because they are the only BCS fish in a talent rich state, but I still remember the 90's so I am hesitant to put them among the elite 3. Up until about a month ago State Penn would have deserved consideration. I thought Gramps was holding that program back. Now it is tainted and will take awhile to recover.
