Week 10 - Chicago @ San Francisco - Thursday Night Football

Painful game to watch. Niners getting the ugly W was the only thing that made it watchable for me.

While, extremely talented, Cutler just doesn't seem to have "it" as a leader. Looks like he really doesn't care and is always looking for an excuse when he does poorly. Alex Smith is just a deer in the headlights. I seriously think the team should put Nate Davis in there. He couldn't do any worse and you would get a look at what is possible for 2010. Smith just doesn't have "it" either. I would like to see a DNA breakdown on Cutler and Smith. I'm guessing half brothers............

Not sure on Smith, but I have to disagree with Cutler. We have already seen different from him, and know he is capable of better. Didn't watch the game last night, only listened, but from all I am hearing today, most of what happened on offense wasn't Cutler's fault. That said, when he did have a chance to win the game, he wasn't able to do so.

Chicago has survived on defense for a while now. This year, that side of the ball isn't getting it done, and the constant lack of offensive development in Chicago is really being exposed.

It looks like somebody kidnapped Cutler, and stuck Grossman in his uniform. To me, this speaks to coaching, not so much the players. Listening to Sirius NFL and they mentioned Mushin Mohammed saying that Chicago is where NFL quarterbacks go to die. At this point, thinking there may be some truth to that.

I was talking more about his demeaner than his ability. He just has that look that says "whatever". Not a quality that I would want in a franchise
QB...........
