Week 1 Thursday night football Saints @ Packers official thread

I knew Payton would go with his goaline plan....that being Ingram. That is where he needs to quit being soooo mechanical. It was evident to me that Thomas was running harder and would have made sure that ball went 1,.5 yards even if he died doing it.

Just once in my life I'd like to see them fake into the middle and have Brees bootleg into the endzone.

If you are going to face either of these two teams you better put up 32 points or stay home.

Is that the total for 1 game? We might not surpass the 32 pt mark til week 3 and that most likely comes in the 2nd half.

I think he's planning on staying at home RC.

LOL. I got tickets for sundays game but only going if it gets blacked out here. They're bad enough on tv but even more so live.

You've got to wonder if there might be some limitations on what and when he can audible. He has all the mental tools to make that decision at the line, and all the physical tools to succeed. The coach must have complete control in that situation. That seems to fit the mold of what I see when I watch Payton coach. He feels like he is the only gray matter in the huddle/room and controls everything.

Bart Starr was at the game and if memory serves me correctly he once made a pretty important play from inside the 1 yard line. What about a QB sneak?

A lot of boohooing over spilled milk here.

It was the Packers @ Home for gosh sake. Not like we lost to Cincinnati or anything.
