Browns | Unlikely to pursue WR in free agency? Mon Jul 4, 09:04 PM Tony Grossi, from the Cleveland Plain Dealer, believes the Browns will not pursue a veteran free agent WR like Mike Sims-Walker once the lockout is lifted. The team has expressed confidence in the WRs currently on the roster.
Our view: The Browns added a big weapon to the passing game when they selected WR Greg Little in the second-round of the 2011 NFL Draft. Little reminds many in the scouting community of a young Anquan Boldin because of his size, strength, and run after the catch ability. They also have second-year WR Carlton Mitchell who could be a big play weapon downfield because of his size/speed combination.

Add to this their running game and three nice TE's and this team is ready to produce offensively.

And here I thought it was b/c you liked to waste roster spots ;)

I think they could still use a vet to bring the young kids along.
 
I think Little, Robiske and the new Te they snagged could be sleepers with the WC offense they are installing.
 
So what they currently have is Watson at TE, Massaquoi, Robiskie, Mitchell and Little at WR, Hardesty/Hillis at RB with Hillis being a superb receiver at his position.. plus a smattering of Josh Cribbs. The potential is definitely there if the stars align. Grabbing a guy like Sims-Walker or Santana Moss would be icing on the cake as far as Colt taking a huge step forward in his development. Moss seems to be a better fit since the incumbents are rather sizeable and they need a deep threat/speed guy.

Little was drafted to be that guy. I would say the other TE whose name escapes me is the better target than Watson.
 
I still have a gut feeling its 3rd year guy Mass that takes the biggest WR leap this season for CLE
 
Massaquoi has just seemed to want it more than Robiske, and will find the going much easier with little on the field opposite him!

When it comes to TE's don't forget Evan Moore, who likely led the NFL in yards per catch last year. I know he averaged around 22ypc......or atleast I think i know that. lol!
