From only a football point of view, I don't know what he would do in this offense.
If as stated my Reid, he is a QB, then we paid for a 4th QB. Maybe Kolb is hurt more then what they say. Vick will not compete with McNabb, so he will go up against Kolb and A.J. Feeley.
Now as a football player, he had a lot of talent. If he has not lost his speed, in a wing back spot, option or the spread offence, it could be crazy. B.West is the most dangerous offensive player the Eagles have. Now DeSean, Curtis, McCoy and Maclin, this will start to look like a track meet.
What I am worried about is who the leaders on the team are, I don’t want another McNabb – T.O. issue, splitting the team. There are a few questions about the defense and the O-line that needs to be looked at, that should have been more important.
Now what does not make since is that the Eagles could not find the money for B.Dawk!

i see where you're coming from... but it wouldn't surprise me if they'd cut ties with one of those guys next year regardless

vick could be a good addition to the team, depending on how they use him. also, mcnabb has come out saying he pushed for vick, so there don't seem to be any hard feelings.

i think kolb is the one who might suffer the most from this. he hasn't lived up to his billing so far in my eyes, and now injured...
I knew it would happen, but not this severe.

There are now mulitple stories out now where McNabb is pissed on the Vick signing. For as many as say he was okay and lobbied for it, there are just as many, with contacts close to McNabb that say he is pissed.

Good grief what a rediculous situation to be in. I don't think Kolb is hurt that bad. Nor do I think his job is in jeapardy...he will make a solid #2 if necessary. I think McNabb is now realizing why the Eagles only reworked his deal instead of extending.

Only time will tell.

I will add, that Philly has had Vick before. Only then his name was Randall Cunningham.

Ok.....now EC how can you say Kolb hasnt "lived up". He hasnt had the chance to really do anything.

If you mean he got the chance to be sacrificed to the Ravens defense without any practice reps the previous week, I'm surprised his numbers looked that GOOD.

WHAT? My first time hearing this news. Kinda speechless, didn't really think Philly had any interest in Vick. Guess the town of brotherly love threw a dog a bone. Gonna be interesting to see how they use him and what he has in the tank to offer them.

actually, the ravens game wasn't that bad of an effort, although the only one where he played any significant length of time. that game he was 10 for 23 and 73 yds with 2 ints.

i agree he was thrown to the wolves (i was calling for andy reid's head for weeks afterwards), but his numbers otherwise were:

7 for 11 for 71 yds and 2 ints.

in any case, i'm not talking about the numbers. did you watch him play? i've seen plenty of backups. a lot of times they do well because the pressure is low when they come off the bench. this guy has no spark at all, nothing. he's not my franchise QB, ok? i'm sure he's a nice guy and i wish him the best, but he was practically a first round draft pick. I think this is a good signing for Philly. Just watch how carefully they script Vicks manlove for McNabb, and how Mcnabb is the role model he needed!

You are talking about a city that wants McNabb gone, and a quarterback that is due for yet another injury. All it is going to take is one game where McNabb struggles, and Vick makes a big play (even if it with his legs), and controversy is going to be at a high level.

I personally can't wait to see this unfold :nannie:

he's played in a few games, and looked :xpuke:

You're tripping, woman. QB is the hardest position to learn, it takes a minimum of three years for a QB to really be starter quality. Give Kolb another year and an off-season with the first team before you start declaring him a bust.

Sorry ya'll, but there's really no difference between Kolb and Graham Harrell except one got overdrafted.

I believe he attended the University of Houston? Just like Andre Ware and David Klingler?

Speaking of Graham, whatever happened to him? Did he ever get signed?

We should probably discard any Northern Iowa quarterbacks from having a chance at success in the NFL as well ;)
