I will weigh in on this:
Tressel had a bad history when he went to Ohio State. They knew what they were getting in that department, and I believe they were lucky to get by as long as they did. That said, he was a great coach and probably would have been the best in Ohio State's proud history had it not gone south for him.
Now I dont blame the university for standing by him at least through national signing day, and I do blame the NCAA for showing favor by letting those guys who were clearly ineligible play in the bowl game. This was the only possible outcome for Tressel, and Im not sure the NCAA is going to show any leiniency because they kept him around so long.
Regarding Pryor, I think the right kind of coach could mold him into a serviceable backup, ala Joe Webb in Minnesota for example, but he needs to fall on the sword and enter the supplemental draft. I agree with Miller, his days as a Buckeye are over.
Im expecting the NCAA will force Ohio State to vacate at least last season in the win column and force them to surrender their share of the Big 10 title. I dont expect them to have Ohio State vacate the Sugar Bowl win since they already knew about this stuff and allowed the kids to play. Going to be pretty stupidin seeing the 2011 Sugar Bowl game winner be a 1-12 team.
A win for Brady Hoke and Michigan and honestly a sad day for College Football.
