He was having a good camp, hope it's not serious

(TheHuddle) Denver Broncos head coach John Fox said the team will be cautious with WR Brandon Lloyd (knee) after he left practice Tuesday, Aug. 9, because of swelling in his knee. Analysis: This one almost slipped by us. We'll keep tabs on Lloyd. He's obviously listed as the starting split end and Eddie Royal (wow, no one mentions him anymore) is the flanker. Eric Decker and Matthew Willis are listed as second-string. Demaryius Thomas is recovering from Achilles surgery and could open the season on 6-week PUP.

(KFFL) Washington Redskins RB Ryan Torain (hand) said he is doing well in his recovery from a broken hand and expects to return to practice soon. He is not worried that the injury will hurt his chances to win the starting job because he has been taking mental reps during practice.

Mental reps huh. Is he trying to jedi mind trick Shannahan or something?

(TheHuddle) Philadelphia Eagles WR Jeremy Maclin (illness) may not be ready for the start of the season as he continues to seek answers for an undisclosed illness. Maclin flew to St. Louis Thursday, Aug. 11, to meet with doctors to find out the specifics of his illness. There are reports that Maclin has lost significant weight, dropping as much as 15 pounds with 'mono like' symptoms. He does not believe his illness is career-threatening.
Analysis: This is sounding more ominous each week as Maclin still hasn't suited up and practiced. Maclin has dropped out of our top-20 WRs in the Fantasy Draft Kit and could fall further if he doesn't get right. No. 3 and 4 WRs Jason Avant and Riley Cooper are becoming draftable in deep leagues. Note: The recent signing of ex-Giants WR Steve Smith isn't big fantasy news because his surgically-repaired knee will surely land him on 6-week PUP, possibly IR. The Eagles are thinking 2012 with Smith.

This is sounding worse and worse. I really hope Maclin is ok, regardless of fantasy football.

(TheHuddle) St. Louis Rams RB Steven Jackson missed practice Tuesday, Aug. 16, due to a sore left hip. Head coach Steve Spagnuolo said it was "just a little bit of left hip soreness." Jackson might return as soon as Wednesday, Aug. 17. Analysis: And that's why the Rams brought in Cadillac Williams and Jerious Norwood--not because this is a significant injury for Jackson, but because he could use a little help with the workload. Expect Jackson to be back in the mix soon, but Caddy could take a few touches off his plate to keep him fresh for the long haul.

(RotoWire) Rashad Jennings, who suffered a concussion this past Thursday, was on the field but didn't practice Tuesday, Florida Times reports. Analysis: Assuming that his concussion is minor, Jennings remains in line to back up Maurice Jones-Drew this season. Given that MJD is coming off knee surgery and that the Jags are believed to be interested in getting Jennings more carries to take the heat off their star back, Jennings is one of the more useful backup options to consider on draft day.

(RotoWire) Peyton Hillis tweaked a hamstring at end of Wednesday's practice, Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports. Analysis: That prompted what Cabot calls a precautionary rest, so initially this doesn't sound like a major concern for Hillis.

(TheHuddle) Cincinnati Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis said WR A.J. Green's (knee) knee injury is not serious. Analysis: The Enquirer's Joe Reedy tweeted: "With just a sleeve on the right knee, it would indicate nothing serious for Green. Plus seemed to be walking without a limp."

That's a sigh of relief for the Bengals
