(RotoWire) Owens had surgery in the past month to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament in one of his knees, ESPN reports. He'll be out until mid-November at best, sources familiar with the injury told ESPN.
Analysis: Neither Owens nor his agent have commented on the report. One source told ESPN he hurt the knee during a personal workout. If he did have surgery to repair a torn ACL, his fantasy value for 2011 will be minimal as he'd likely miss most of the season and may not be at full speed even when he does return. At age 37, his career could be over at this point.

Boo..was hoping to get at least a ham sandwich for him this season. *sigh* Guess he'll retire off my roster. Guy keeps himself in damn good shape for his age though. Gotta give him that.
