This years melodrama...

Last year the drama beneath the drama in the NFL was the atrocious overall performance of kickers throughout the league. They have been a little better this year but not much better...

This year the understory seems to be the fragility of the WR's in the league. I can not remember a year where there have been so many games missed by WR. Heck, I don't think Philly has had a healthy WR in 2 straight games this year.

I was watching ESPN the other day and the crawl was listing injury status by positions. I could not believe how long it took for the WR's crawl to complete.

I would think all the rules changes would lead to healthier WR but it has not panned out this year.

I feel many players are holding themselves out this year. AJ Green, Cam Newton (he quit), the DB traded from JAX, there have been many others trying to force their way out of a city. SAD!

I think it's the NBA influence, plus the "me" culture.

So you all are suggesting there is no real injuries and these were leverage moves?

Just refusing to play and get hurt before a new team or contract.
