I dont see this as any real potential for a break out by Spillar. They just got TRASHED by the Skins.... He will look good against that dud of a defense in practice, and then when the games start Gailey might get him killed.

If it is season over for Jackson, Wonder what the odds are he goes ahead and retires. Hate to see him go out like that tho, he really gave Jax something to cheer about while there and Jax should have let him finish his career there. He was a steady bak up to Drew. Spillar will get killed as season goes on and don't see him lasting the season w/o spending time on IR or in the ER thanks to that great offense in Buffalo.

According to BuffaloNews.com, Bills' RB Fred Jackson (hand) is expected to miss 4-6 weeks.

The official diagnosis is a broken bone in Jackson's left hand. Four weeks from the date comes out to Sept. 10th, two days before the Bills' season opener against the Dolphins. With Marshawn Lynch (sprained ankle) expected to miss 3-4 weeks, C.J. Spiller could be the team's starting running back when they open the season.

Bills' RB Marshawn Lynch is expected to miss 3-4 weeks after suffering an ankle sprain in Friday night's preseason opener against the Redskins.

Lynch was playing well before he go hurt, and it remains to be seen how the injury will affect his explosiveness. If Lynch makes a quick recovery look for him to split carries with C.J. Spiller until Fred Jackson (hand) returns.
