THE SEC should invite Texas, NOW

Texas doesn't want to go to the SEC. And either did Miami/FSU years ago and thats why they went to the ACC. Don't think they could win in the SEC. Different kind of ball there. Even the bottom feeders like Kentucky and Vandy would give Texas fits, much less Alabama, Florida, Georgia and Tennessee.

You could be right Cerberus but somehow I don't think Mack is scared of us. Plus I'd love to play Texas in baseball every year.

We arent afraid of the SEC. I wont sugar coat it. Wed probably drop to 8 or 9 wins for a few years while we loaded up with even better talent, but it would be a great thing for us in the long run.

Would be great for baseball, and Id like to see what it would do for our track, hoops, and swimming teams.

Texas would not be a push over in any given year in the SEC. Great point about the track Sarge, Gosh this could be so fun if only the SEC would get off of their ass and chase the Horns down.

Texas pretty much took Alabama to the wire in the championship game this year, without their starting QB. Cant see any reason why Texas wouldn't be able to win.

I'm talking week in and week out having to play such high caliber teams. That Alabama/Texas game was one game, think how they would do if they had to play that way 8-9 games a year. Right now they only play what 3-4 good teams a year and 1 of those is the bowl game. Have them play Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Miss ST, LSU, Tennessee and Auburn in consecutive weeks and see how they would fair. They have not played nowhere near the competion now. Not saying they wouldnt ever win but the 10-11 win season will be a few years off. They'll be more like a 7-8 win team for a few years in the SEC.

Of all the teams you mentioned, I would put money on Texas to win next season outside of Alabama.

I feel the SEC is the best conference in college football, but I don't see the Big12 being far off at all.

Wow your rich if you got that kind of money to lose. LOL I agree the SEC is the best conference and has been for many years. Not sure if i would say the Big 12 is that close to that type of quality of football each week. And i think the ACC and Big East are growing in strength faster than any other conference. They way i say Texas wouldn't be the force in the SEC is the same in as i think any SEC team wouldn't fair well in the Big 12 or any other west coast based conference. Feel its just different type of ball played on each coast.
