The Lions sign LB Stephen Tulloch

Tulloch signed a one-year $3.25 million deal with Detroit on Sunday, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports. It's only a slight raise over what he played for on a restricted free agent tender in Tennessee, so Tulloch evidently didn't find the market interest he expected. Detroit is one of the better landing spots for his IDP value this year, though he shouldn't be expected to approach 160 tackles like he did last year. The Lions' offense won't be a three-and-out machine like the Titans were down the stretch last year. Tennessee's defense was on the field for a league-leading 1,139 snaps last year, while Detroit ranked 16th with 1,005.

Nice Grab!!

Well, they now not only have an incredible DL, they now have solidified the LB core. Wright at cb may help, but I think they need at least one more decent corner. Again, I am impressed with what Detroit has done this year.

Gotta wonder why all the FA Detroit has signed have only been one or two year deals...

What's up with that?

There base plan is to build with the draft. So they don't want to tie up cap with these older vets. Plus the guys they have signed they like, but most have something left to prove.

Tulloch's skills and talent makes him deadly. I like what the Lions have done here. He has the power to raise the confidence in other players around him and he'll be a good teacher to the younger players on the team while he's there.

Love it Lions! I just wish they would have gotten a better CB. But with a deadly DL and LB core, it will take some of the pressure away from the DBs.
