The Evil Genius
Week 3 Help

I started using your help with 10 games to go last year including playoffs and went 9-1 and won my league. I'm 1-1 this year. That's 10-2 with you. Awesome.

Standard Yahoo scoring:

McNabb still out. I can pick up Leftwich, Hill or Kolb for a week or play Campbell. Thoughts?

We use 3 wide receivers. I have Calvin Johnson and Roddy White. For the 3rd receiver it's either Marshall, Sims-Walker or Mason. Marshall has been hurting me. I'm leaning toward Sims-Walker. Thoughts?

Never thought I would ask a TE question but I have Witten and Winslow. Thoughts?

Thanks!

The Evil Genius
Week 3 Help/ESPN

Standard ESPN League for my second team:

Two of Evans, Royal, Steve Smith (Giants), Boldin or Henry.

One of Gates or Keller.

One of Rice or Bradshaw.

Thanks.

ci17s3r3:

I'd go with Fred Jackson and Ronnie Brown. Chargers have a pretty bad run defense which is worse with the loss of Jamaal Williams and Fred Jackson should be motivated with this being his last game w/out Lynch around.

Good luck

bandizzy:

Team 1 I would start Marshall over Knox. I'm just not sold that he's the next great thing in Chicago yet.

Team 2 I would start Breaston over Williams. I see a shootout in that game with Indy and Arizona

Good Luck

johnlines:

I would pick up Kolb so that you're covered for however long Mcnabb is out. He proved that he can put up good numbers with that offense and probably keep Jeff Garcia on the sidelines.

For your #3 WR, with Williamson out for the year Sims-Walker will get plenty of looks and he proved that he can capitalize. He's going against a suspect Texans D and should be a good play this week

At TE I would start Witten on MNF. He'll find the endzone and have 85-90 yds

johnlines:

Boldin and Steve Smith for your WR's I love Steve Smith this week as D's won't be sleeping on Manningham anyomore.

Gotta start Gates-Did you see what Dallas Clark did to Miami this week?

Rice at RB. Bradshaw just doesn't get enough carries despite Jacobs being pretty ineffective this year.

tough one here... standard scoring, NON ppr, but we get a 5 point bonus for 100 yards rush or rec.

start 3 of these RBs

Jacobs
McGahee
Rice
Tomlinson (if he starts)
Pierre Thomas (if Bell is out)

Thanks in advance!

yeah, i'm gonna be watching the injury/practice reports all week, which i hate doing but oh well.

If Tomlinson does go, and if Pierre Thomas practices full all week (he did today) and looks good, do i still go with Rice? Again, tough choice...

Hey Chris picked up Eli for Warners 4th week bye, should I play him this week over Warner??

Also RBs C Benson or T Hightower and should I put the other one at flex over Santana Moss?? He has disappointed but if you cant start him against Detroit I might as well drop him!!

lineup:

Tm1 - ultimately i need to trade for better RBs

Philip Rivers
V Jax
Harvin
Manningham
Sproles (if LT out)
SJax(did well for me last wk)
Celek(ridin it 1 more wk)
BN Flacco
BN DeSean
BN Ward
BN Slaton (he hurt me wk 1 and not playin him over SJax last wk worked but...)
BN Thomas Jones (Leon makes this one hard to play)
BN Felix (just picked him off WW and watching the MBIII sit close)

Tm2 - Harvin or Ward over Marshall? Celek over Shiancoe?

Aaron Rodgers
AJ
Brandon Marshall (he's been killin me)
Manningham
Chris Johnson
Fred Jax
Shiancoe
BN Big Ben
BN Harvin
BN Ward
BN Slaton
BN Sproles
BN Celek

Thanks as always

Danlaff777:

Jacobs, Rice and Thomas

I think even if Tomlinson plays Sproles will be heavily involved. Bell is hurt and I don't think he'll do much this week even if he plays which I expect Thomas to do.

I wouldn't start Eli over Warner. Warner is just beginning to be at 100% after a hip injury which has plagued him for awhile. I see a shootout in the desert on Sunday Night Football.

Hightower over Benson. Bengals play the Steelers and I'll pretty much start any warm body over someone playing Pittsburgh.

Yes, start Santana at flex. I agree with you, this will be the tell-tale game for Santana. I expect him to have a good game and if he doesn't its time to get worried.

n3twyrker:

For team 1:

I would start Desean over Harvin

Team 2:

I know Slaton has been subpar so far but there's no way I'm starting Fred Taylor over him :)

Chris...that's fred jackson (BUF) not fred taylor (NE). I know marshawn's back but i still think taylor > slaton?

lol. I see that now. I saw Fred and Jax and Fred Taylor popped into my head :)

Yeah I would start Fred Jackson over Slaton this week. Lynch won't be back until next week I believe.

ok, cool ...that's what i thought, plus I heard the coach say Lynch being back might not matter. I was gonna play him this week and then try and trade him but now i don't think so. Heard anything on DJAX's injury?

Eagles head coach Andy Reid said Wednesday that WR DeSean Jackson did not practice with the team as he deals with a groin strain. He did participate in a walk-through practice. Jackson is expected to test the groin in the coming days and attempt to practice by Friday.
(Updated 09/23/2009).

Sounds like he's day to day
