What about Kansas City? Whether they keep Johnson or not, James could be a useful mammal for the year

kc definitely doesnt fit the description of contender. pittsburgh sure would, esp if mendenhall is not healthy and ready to start the year. truth be told, there is almost no team in the league that couldnt use edge in some capacity.

the real guess here is that he probably doesnt sign for quite some time, taking the cedric benson route and hoping someone has an injury or gets desperate and gives him a starting shot. i just dont think his ego will let him try for anything else.

Your on the money about KC, but I thought like you did about the ego factor. He could get a starting shot there Id assume if there was no LJ or limited LJ.

Jacksonville wouldnt shock me either. I know they have Greg Jones and just landed a couple backs, but he makes an intriguing veteran option with MJD.

Is Julius Jones already out as the starter? They don't have Morris anymore. I thought Jones was going to get a second chance this year.

Jones and Duckett are virtually the only 2 RB's on the team, so right now Jones is the starter by default. They need a starter

If you give Seattle 85 yds/gm and say Duckett gets 7.5 yds/gm (5 carries at 1.5/carry) of those yards, that leaves 1250 yds for someone.

Of course if they can't manage 85 yds/gm that # drops

The Saints seem like a good spot for him. They could use a power compliment in their running game.
