Texans looking at QBs

The Texans will bring in Jeff Garcia for a workout Tuesday, the Houston Chronicle reports. Garcia worked out for Houston last week before the Texans signed Kellen Clemens. The club also plans to bring in Jake Delhomme for an evaluation.

Sounds like they will still use Yates as the starter even if they add a QB.

NFL.com's Jason La Canfora reports that the Dolphins will not release Sage Rosenfels from the non/football illness list.
The Texans were going to have interest in Rosenfels if the Fins waived him, but after a Monday meeting between Rosenfels and Dolphins brass, Miami has decided to keep him on the NFI list. It's unclear if Rosenfels, who's been dealing with a mysterious blood infection, would have been healthy enough to play anyway. The Texans will move forward with T.J. Yates as their starting quarterback. Kellen Clemens is currently No. 2 on the depth chart.

Houston Texans head coach Gary Kubiak said the team is not ruling out the possibility of calling retired QB Brett Favre to see if he is interested in joining the Texans.

They need to stick with Yates. He looked good from what i saw last weekend. Definitly better than leinart. Speaking of Leinart, is this most recent injury it for him? He already has a weak arm, according to NFL QB position, and now add a shoulder injury. And he's never lit up the skys in the pros. Thinking teams stay away from him now unless they get desperate for a QB.

delhomme it is . . . i guess in looking at garcia and delhomme, the texans were trying to find a qb w/ playoff experience as a mentor to yates . . . i thought delhomme was done.

Wasn't he retired and came out to play. Few days of practice and a couple of hits in games , he's gonna wish he stayed retired. LOL.
