You're right about Huggings. Tampa Bay Fans are done with Ward and they're not shy about it either. Every online Bucs destination with comment capabilities demonstrates a relentless frustration with Ward and his performance. The Alstott days weren't the long ago and many of us know what a mack truck RB looks like on the field.

To add insult to injury, the last time a Buccaneer ran for a 1000+ yards was in 2005, Cadillac Williams.

The fans are pretty fed up with Clayton too. Everyone's jumping on the Rookie & Reggie bandwagon. Even Maurice Stovall our supposed #1WR is playing without any armor. Sammie Straughter owns the slot. Mike and Reggie look incredible down field. Benn will work his way into the picture but he seems to be burning a longer, slower fuse that the M&R.

IT'S OFFICIAL!!

Derrick Ward will no longer disgrace the Buccaneer uniform.... he's walking the plank today!!

ESPN is reporting that Clifton Smith will become the new #2 behind Caddy Williams, however there are still lingering reports that even #22 might get traded before the season starts. :sword:

Ward released from Tampa

Interesting news out of Tampa Bay with one of those "read between the lines" angles. The Buccaneers have cut RB Derrick Ward.
But Ward isn't really the story here. I think the story is RB Kareem Huggins. Cadillac Williams is the clear #1 RB for now but we all know his injury history. Huggins has garnered lots of sleeper talk but with Ward in the picture, things were pretty murky. With Ward gone, Huggins gets a lot more interesting in my opinion. He's definitely a guy worth taking a look at for a late round flier.

Ward, who was cut by the Bucs earlier this week, has signed with the Texans, Robert Henslee of SportsRadio 610 reports. Analysis: With Jeremiah Johnson now expected to miss a month with his toe injury, Ward gives the Texans some running back depth behind Arian Foster and Steve Slaton, who is dealing with a toe issue of his own.

And this is exactly why taking Foster in the 4th is just crazy! This is a baby Bronco offense and no lead back will run wild. There is no Portis or TD here....this is a nice landing spot for Ward though. Buyer beware on Foster.

This backfield will be a crapshoot.

Kubiak doesn't marry RB's.....he dates them. If Ward doesn't show up with a $1000 bottle of wine and 2 dozen long stemmed roses he shouldn't bother to unpack.

I'm hoping for Derrick's sake that this uniform change is Tylenol he needs to get his head back in the game. He just never fit in as Buc. Maybe as a Texan he get back to his better more productive self. He's got plenty of tread on his tires. Lord knows he didn't accumulate any wear and tear on them in Tampa.

you were already way lower on foster then a lot of rankings; 39th on him (PPR). Where you got him landing now? He dropping another tier?
