Syracuse wins first OT contest of the season

In a game Wake Forest was comfortably in control of for 57 minutes, the Demon Deacons lost their starting quarterback and found a way to lose in the last 3 minutes.

Down 26-14 with less than 180 seconds left in the game, Syracuse scored 2 TDs and a 2 pt conversion to send the game to OT, then won it on Ryan Nassib's 3rd TD pass of the game.

Nassib, who was ineffective for over half the game, came on when the Cuse needed it. Even though Wake Forest lost Price, had they been able to mount any kind of running game they might have pulled it out.

Wake Forest ran for just over 100 yards in the game, with starter Josh Harris rushing 22 times for just 66 yards.

Wake Forest (0-1, 0-0 ACC) moves on to face North Carolina State 9 days from now.

Syracuse (1-0, 0-0 Big East) takes on FCS Rhode Island September 10th

Wake is a 5 win team at best. Syracuse has alot of things to iron out before Id tag them for a bowl game.
