we've been blessed with a lot of good ones (superbowls) lately... when i was a kid it was almost invariably a blowout every year. the whole parity thing seems to be working rather well, even if the regular season gets a little bogus at times

I thought it was a fantastic game. Of the four left playing I felt that the Giants were the best team of the group, but that does not always matter.

I was astonished to see the game so evenly called by the ref's. When they flagged Brady for the intentional grounding I think the world likely let out a collective gasp. Brady himself must have been stunned, and perhaps a bit worried that he was not going to get away with the normal shenanigans

I think the garbage-short-pass offense actually hurt the Pat's here, and had they had a deep threat maybe it would have stretched out the Giant's defense; not that Brady would have likely been effective with that long pass, since he never actually throws down field.

It will be interesting to see if the pat's address that deficiency in the draft.

I was thinking the same thing RLLD. That the Pats really don't have that down-field threat or even a tall receiver to get that vertical advantage on the corners. They should address that issue in the draft. Great game by the Giants. Pats not too bad either, but there were about 3-4 major catches that should have been made by NE which they rarely miss. Also that interception was very unBrady like. That was such a poor decision to fling such a deep ball to a somewhat injured TE.

They do need a deep bigger WR but I don't think that really would have made a difference. Their game is/was dink-and-dunk to utilize the quickness of their small WRs and to minimize Brady's time in the pocket with the ball.

My prediction though for the off-season is that they go get Brandon Lloyd. He's followed Josh McDaniels around and fits what they need and the type of vet player they've picked up in the past.

Two games in a row, the Pats were in a rhythm moving the ball consistently and Brady heaves up a deep ball INT for no reason killing the drive. There was absolutely no reason to make that throw.

IMHO I don't think either team played a "great" game, it was very even. Pats made a few more mistakes and the ball seemed to bounce the Giants way a few more times. Still a great game to watch as a football fan.
